Hey all,
I'm just wondering if anyone has a sweet adorable Basset? I have one that is almost 14 years old (he will be 14 on December 19th). He's been having seizures for which he is on phenobarbital. It won't be long for him, but what a great pet/friend he has been throughout the years. We got him from a notable breeder when he was 7 weeks old. He was, and still is, a real cutie. I will miss him terribly when his time comes. I will try to post a picture of him when I become more familiar with this site.

I have one. My girl is nine months old so still a little baby. They are such wonderful animals. She is truly the best pet I have ever had. I am so sorry that your guy is sick, I know it will be hard for you when he goes but just try to enjoy him while you have him.

I have one, not sure if she's pure bred, looks like it, but her snoot isn't as long. She's a cutie, and she is a sweet heart, but honestly she's a pain in the butt lol. I got her from a friend, was renting her house for awhile. She had a bunch of animals that I ended up caring for and such. She said I could take the basset, and I felt bad for her so I did. Kinda regret it now, but hey lol. She said she thought she was about 6 years, but I think she's older then that. She's totally blind(I doubt the lady ever took her in for vet care)think one eye has a cataract and the other was all bulged out-maybe glaucoma? I don't know, but it was gross. Long time ago she got into a fight with my other dog, and her eye actually popped and isn't swollen anymore, guess that worked out good lol. She gets around real good though, smells her way, or noses her way, and listens for you calling her. She's also potty challenged, so spends most of the time outside in her mini barn. Trying to upload a photo, but won't work for some reason...

I like Basset hounds dogs very much and they are very cute to see.I have one Basset hound at my home and its babies are very cute and i love it very much.Everyday i take care about these dogs and about their food and diet.I usually watch in TV different types of hounds and dogs.Whenever i went outside i will keep a chain around its neck and it is a safe place.Basset hound dogs look very cute, funny and pretty looking.
