I read about these purity rings worn by the Jonas borthers and Jordin sparks and im just impressed with their statement to stay virgins until marriage and for me its really setting out a good example for younger americans. Im a filipino and I heard a lot about the issue on virginity and I learned long ago that as young as they are they already are not virgins. This news this morning is a fresh news and has opened my eyes to the truth that there are still young americans who value virginity and to note these are celebrities.
Hope you have a nice day and take care!http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/american-idol-champ-jordin-sparks-defends-purity-rings-at-vmas-7726.php

Ohhhh that would be the good news that I heard about the people of America that they already give value of their virginity and here in my Country Kuwait it is our tradition or part of the culture to give the virginity with the Husband to be with our life because it is a disgrace to get married and the woman is no longer a virgin, they always preserve virginity.........

Yes, it was something good to hear in the morning for me also. In our country also thats the best gift we can give to our husbands but as what I have observed these days the young people are more and more becoming libearted but there are still many who practice the virginity value and do it after marriage.
Have anice day and take care!!!

We have been hearing a lot about this for a few years now. I think it is admirable that kids would want to do this. For some reason people who do this are snickered at or kidded for doing this. I think more girls do this than guys. I would think there would be more peer pressure on guys just cause they are guys.

yes thats very true my friend. It does help a lot. They maybe kids but they have a way of thinking and have made a difference. Thats a good attitude to be emulated by teens.

That is good to hear.. especially as celebrities do influence others/society quite a bit.. and we certainly do have the other mindset portrayed and supported in the entertainment branch of society..

It would be nice if more young folks exercised more caution and logical thinking. But I suppose they can't quite do that as their brains aren't fully developed, lol(that is scientific fact btw). I think the only thing that can really be done is being done. Proper education and knowing the consequences really go a long way. But there are those that choose to ignore these facts or they just get carried away with someone close. And while the situation may get better, it will never be completely solved because there will always be those kind of people around.
