That has happened to me so many times...I have learned not to ever lend money that I can't live without if it isn't paid back. If I lend to someone and they don't pay me then I will NEVER lend them another dime. I also have learned to never lend large amounts without something in writing. This kid is not your friend...a friend would not do that to you. consider it a valuable life lesson.

I rarely lend people money. If they really need it, I might give it to them on some rare occasion, ............but loaning them money, only means I am going to be miserable, ....because many people are not good about giving it back. Forget it.
Just next time say, " I don't make it a practice to lend money. If you need a sandwich, I'll buy you one this once, ...but no money."

he is probably not going to pay you back. Count it as lesson learned and never loan him $$ again! there is wisdom in that saying about not loaning friends & family money.

This is commonly called "Taking advantage of you." You should never lend money to anyone unless you are close friends with them, or they will most likely NOT pay you back. Don't fall for it! Just say you don't have any money. Hope you learned your lesson now! Don't do that ever again!

You could try dropping the subject for awhile, like a few weeks or months, if you know you'll see him again, and then ask to borrow $15! Who knows, maybe this kid is thick enough to "lend" it to you.

tell him you need the money already because there is something very important you will use it for. that way you will know if he really considers paying you back the loan. there are some people who borrows money and promises that they pay you but waits until such time that you personally ask them to pay up. maybe that's the case here. good luck.

It happens =(, he's probably not going to pay you back. That's why when there's money involved you should always try to do it with people you trust. At least i have given some money to buddies but they've payed me back.
Anyways good luck, you should probably talk to his parent, that would be a nice way to teach the kid to pay back what's not his xD!
