my peke is prone to "hot spots". he has a very heavy coat and I have to watch him constantly. he is outside a good bit but I'm not sure that is a factor. I've had to haul him off to the vet a couple of times because I did not find...

Queenmother i would get a miniature schnauzer. they are entertaining & easy to train. no shedding either. they do need to be groomed - you clip them yourself or have it done at the dog groomers for about $32 or so. that includes cleaning ears (their hair has to be plucked...
