I'm glad you asked because it made me realize that I haven't taken any me time in a long while. I used to belong to a writers workshop group that met at a local coffee shop every Saturday afternoon. That was my me time - a lovely coffee, lunch and an afternoon spent writing and discussing writing with friends. The coffee shop closed about six months ago, and I haven't replaced that time with something else. Now that you've made me think about it, I'll definitely look for something else to do for just me.

It is strange how easily we forget to give ourselves a little time for break isn;t it?

its a good question you asked and i feel this question really matters me a lot.
i am just busy with my family, take care of them, cook for them, wait for them, and all its just become a family and i really some time think when i should remove time for myself. i really want my olden college days to be back which is impossible when i use to do whatever i want , go wherever i wish, do whatever i wish but now after having a family i am really so busy that i dont find time for my self and i just sometimes wonder only family is left in my life now what about my wishes and desires.
its really good that i commit for my family but i want time for myself too which is not at all happening.

I know what you mean - I used to feel a little like that but now I tend to try and make time just a little here or there just to do something for me - even reading a book for a short time.
It is difficult when you have children because your priorities are to see they are always ok and you seem to come bottom of the pile.

Well it is not often, but everytime I go to my friends farm, which is once every couple of months. I head straight out to the horses and spend about an hour, just petting them and talking to them. I love horses and am in awe of them.
Especially the rescue horses she has, the poor things have been mistreated beyond belief and are sometimes scared to even be touched, but once they realize you are not there to hurt them, it's amazing the transformation that happens, you can see it in their eyes. So anytime I get to spend with horses I consider "me" time. It is very relaxing and the horses seem to have a calming effect on me, especially if I am stressed out.

horses are just such amazing creatures. It horrifies me how cruelly some people treat them.

I thin the best way to understand yourself is not by others opinion of you but your own inner voice.. I usually hear myself in silence... I think the best way to interact is in silence and this wil enable you to just think through everything you have done and yet to do.. its kind of nice just to spend time by yourself and away from all the hustle and bustle of life... best place i went 3 days back.. to the beach on a breezy night
