I am a diabetic for many years and I can eat a small amount of what we americans call candy as long as I count the carbs and my blood sugar stays normal.

I and my two boys are really having sweet teeth, so to speak. We all love to eat chocolates, cakes and ice cream of all kind and flavors! But I am just amazed because my two girls are just the opposite, they don't like sweet stuffs as much as we do..maybe they're getting the tastebuds of their father.

I balance my food.If i eat sweets i also eat salty.Thats what i usually do.I never control my daughter from eating anything that she wants. But i always advice her the outcome of such foods. She is a little chubby but i know one day she will become a body conscious which i noticed she started to get into.I don't need to control her she would just avoid herself from unhealthy foods.

Ohh man...do i love sweets!!! I love white chocolate...ultimate crumb cake...and much more. But I try to stay away from them because i am pregnant...the caffiene in them isnt good for the baby. So when I get that sweet toothe, I just pull out the cantalope, watermelone, or grapes...that definitly does the trick!!!

I have always had a sweet tooth and my mother used to warn me that if I did not cure my addiction to sugar I would get diabetes. I really tried hard to cure that addiction, focusing on savory food whenever I wanted something sweet but it just did not work. I never got diabetes but I also try to avoid buying sweets and that way I cannot eat them. Its the only cure I have ever found. If I can use my will power to not buy sweet food when shopping then I do not eat them. If I break and buy something sweet it is gone in minutes. My partner has the same problem and he does have diabetes. Sometimes he will buy a packet of chocolate and it will just get eaten so fast. My mum always tried to stop me eating sweet things but it did not help me. As long as there is something sweet in the house I will eat it even if I know it is bad for me. That is why I said it is like an addiction. She knew I had this problem but she did not see why she should punish the rest of the family just to help me with my problem. She just got cross with me for not having any will power. I used to be jealous that my sister in law could eat a whole packet of chocolate biscuits by herself and never put on weight. I only had to eat one biscuit to gain weight. I have a very slow metabolism.

I love sweets so I now only eat sweets that have no processed sugar. I find that it has helped me a lot to lesson the cravings. Since I gave up sugar, for the most part, I don't crave sweets as much, and when I do have some, I don't feel the need to eat a lot of it. One or two small pieces of chocolate, or a small piece of cake, will do it for me. My granddaughter and daughter live with us. She is 15 months old and the only sweets she gets are fruit and an occasional cookie, and sugar-free ice cream in a rare moment. She loves her fruit. She does not get fruit juice, unless it is very watered down, as that's as bad as sugar. I am happy that her mother is being careful about her eating habits, getting her used to eating good things. I wish I knew more about what was good and bad for me when I was younger. I am sure I would have had a stronger immune system and maybe it would have prevented me from getting cancer.

Hi chechuva, I am a junk food junky! I love sweets! I can't get enough of cakes, cookies, ice cream, candy. I have alot of trouble controlling myself. I try very hard to limit myself portion wise at least. If I'm going to eat cookies, I will take no more than 4 cookies. It still isn't easy, but it's better than the alternative! I have to watch myself because I can pack on the pounds if I'm not careful. I try to stay away from sweets, but I just can't so the only thing I can do is not bring them into the house. When I went grocery shopping the other day I had to physically restrain myself from picking up cakes and cookies. I did end up putting them back before I reached the check out, but that was no easy task. You have to try to use as much willpower as you can. At least I know I have to!

I never gave my children candy, they got fruit as a sweet, I don't think it made any difference, they all love sweets. I like sweets, but given the choice of vegtables or sweets I'll choose Veggies everytime. Sweets tend to make me sick so I only eat a little at a time.

I love sweets unfortunately. I wish I didn't I would be a lot thinner if I didn't. I let my kids have a treat everyday, but mostly they eat really healthy. My mom was to restrictive when I was a kid, which made me want to eat more when I became an adult and could make my own decisions.

I love sweets too. Just get that craving sometimes, not often. Some things are just too sweet. My fear is becoming a 300 pound blob. Ya only live once so when i feel like eating something i do. Im pretty health conscience. Probably should have been years ago, but better late than never. At a young age is the time to start with that. Unfortunately most young people dont care what they eat. The 1st thing i do is look at the list of ingredients. If i can not pronounce it, i dont eat it. Chemical preservitives, artificial color or flavors. Not for me.

I love chocolate very much, but I try to control how much sweets my kids eat. I know that too much is not good, and they do not know any better I have to be the parent. They do have some products out there that satisfy the sweet lover crave but have very little sugar in them if any.
