What is your role in life?

I remembered a commercial I saw on TV before, and I was reminded of this question - what is our role in life, as humans?
All animals have a role to play in nature's big plan. Plants grow from seeds, some mature into flowers, where bees pollinate the flowers, and the flowers produce seeds. The seeds are carried by animals and deposited into the ground, where it yet again grows another flower, completing the cycle and beginning again.
But what of us humans? At the top of the food chain, we don't have natural predators. When we die, our bodies get preserved in burial plots or cremated in fire. Our waste is disposed of, rather than returning the nutrients to the environment.
What then, as humans, is our role to play in the grand scheme of things?

On this earth from all the creations of the creator the human is the commodity which can speak understand and execute things which other creatures can not do perform. You are right in saying that animals have their own role to play but what the almighty fixed the role for human to play. I think the main role of the human on the earth is preserve the entities of nature created by it by following the rule of the nature. To respect humanity is the biggest role to play. But what is happening it is all adverse and human is killing human here what to talk about the animals.

Our role as protector? But it seems to me that we seem to be destroying the earth instead of helping to take care of it... We pollute the environment and cage animals in farms for slaughter. Our trash goes into land fills and the sea, poisoning sea animals.

I believe that we as humans are meant to live and teach. There are a lot of things that we contribute to the world as people and we need to be there to care for the animals that live here and footsteps of their lives.
I think that as we are here and what we leave behind does make a serious imprint on future generations.

Wow thats a tough question. I think my role is first ,to be a good daughter to my parents since im not yet married, i tried myself to be of help to them. I give some of my income to them to buy our daily needs. 2nd For the community services where i belong which our aim is to serve and to bring soul to God. and lastly to a good example to everyone by not doing thing that would hurt other people.
