On creativity and our students

Do you think the educational system prevailing in our country,that is, India, is good or favorable for sprouting creativity in the students . I am sad to put this question as it is my experience that educational centers do not encourage any ventures on behalf of the students.
Do you again think will we be able to prosper really without depending on others if we do not allow our students to be sincere enough in their aim at innovation ?

I don't know a lot about India's educational system but I've experienced the US's and let me tell you it is a joke. I believe that worldwide in school systems creativity is being squandered because subjects such as math and science are at the forefront of every country's mind. Literature and arts just aren't held in such esteem as they were in years past. It's sad, but I feel that governments across the globe are thinking that areas in which creativity is necessary serve no purpose.
