How do you deal with arrogant people?

I notice that some members here cant just help themselves from starting an argument and being arrogant towards other member. Makes me wonder if they do have some insecurities in there life or have problem in real life that they let it out by being arrogant towards other member. Perhaps this people needs attention or what we call attention seeker.Do you guys encounter members here who are arrogant? how do you deal with them?

just ignore it
.i have one.only in my list is arrogant and he/she is from my country Philippines.i dont care what he/she replied to me.i dont even replied to her/him back.coz someday he/she will learn that every person has a difeerent opinion.

I try to treat everyone decent, whether I agree with them or not, but having said that, I sometimes take great pleasure in ridiculing a particularly arrogant poster who's being particularly obnoxious. Fortunately, I haven't come across too many of them but I never let anyone get me personally upset. I agree with you that some people thrive on negative attention but some are just playing for responses.

Can't say I've run into arrogant people on mylot, but maybe I've just been lucky! But I believe that in real life, people who are arrogant are covering up for their own insecurity. As annoying as I find arrogant people, I tend to feel sorry for them...

People starting to be arrogant because they feel that they're superior and they doesn't want other people to be more superior and intelligent more than they are. Some, because of insecurities and others because of jealousy. There are people like that anywhere. I thikn telling them directly the way they acted will help

Normally I just prove them wrong if they are not making a good point. Sometimes they just have to be ignored. You can't make friends with everybody! It's a shame that people who are like that miss out on a lot of good conversations because they always have to be an antagonist.

Your right sheepie, theres no point of arguing over them. Sometimes it is so hard to talk to people who are narrow minded. They do understand your point but they just refuse to agree with you because they wanna prove your wrong.They are so pathetic and i feel sorry for this kind of people.

my best opinion would be just to ignore them. i mean there would be no point in arguing with someone who is so stubborn. you'll just get all hot-tempered. peace out!

I agree with you totally, tiffanald. Just ignore them and hopefully they'll go away. I believe that there are people put on this earth just to try to make our lives miserable. If we don't let them, then it's their loss and our gain.

I haven't noticed anyone really being arrogant here, but I am usually overly sweet to people who are arrogant and self-righteous. I have a nasty habit of putting people down ever so politely! And I am not even southern!!! :-) Of course that is only when I am not angry myself.

I deal with arrogant people by NOT dealing with them! Arrogant people make me want to vomit!

well, it's hard to stay away from those kinds of people. my teacher once said that you have to deal with them kindly and you shouldn't deal with them like how they do to you.

i just ignore them. maybe they are just being arrogant because they have nothing else to do than just make something up to spice up their lives. hehehe :)
