Credit card nowadays is widely use in purchasing. So when i got my first credit card i feel honored to have it for not everyone can had. Since i have a good credit standing, i got a lots of offer from the other banks to use their credit card. Now i have 8 credit cards active some of them i already cancelled it for it is too many to handle.

I dont have any credits cards, I have one debit card which I use. I was put off using credit cards after seeing my dad get into debt over his. The bank did offer me on and I accepted but I never registered it so a year later they cancelled it!!
I have never had the need to use a credit card, if I cant afford something then i cant have it or I will save up so that I can have it!!

My brother has a credit card and when he uses it, he puts money aside so that when he has to pay it he has money to do so!!
I dont understand why people go mad with a credit card knowing they have to pay it off eventually!! I hate borrowing my parents and will only ask them if it is a last resort!!

Now I have only one "VISA" credit card, but I'm planning to get another one. I have not decided yet from what bank to get, because I've heard many have experienced difficulty in paying their credit cards. I'm thinking of getting a HSBC or a BPI card. Before I had CITIBANK MC which I kept for almost 8 years.
Do you have any suggestions? Maybe you an help me... thanks..

Thanks for the info. I guess I really have to see first which bank will accept credit card payments. Before I have CITIBANK MC and I pay dues via RCBC bank branch near our Municipal Public Market. But because I canceled my credit card from them before, I guess I will be blacklisted. Anyway, I'll check HSBC or BDO. Thanks again..

Never had a credit card and managed to get by without one. I use bank deposit instead and try to contact the person if the payment option is not available. I'm afraid if i get a credit card i'll have a hard time keeping track of my spending so it's better to know my limit since i don't have much money myself. Maybe one day i'll get it for convenience sake.

I have one but Its only an extension card from my mom. I really don't want to have because I feel it will urge me to shop more and besides you have to pay for membership fees and all that! I prefer to handle my finances without a credit card though...

I don't have a single credit card and haven't had for several years. However I did apply for a Social Security debit card the other day which is just a prepaid credit card. I hope Capital One doesn't get hold of your personal information. Someone in their company that can approve credit cards is stealing peoples personal info and then getting cards in their name and them maxing them out. They sued me for a credit card that was maxed out with a $5,000 limit. I never saw the card and did not use it. They still attached my checking account in the bank and took everything I had in it. The other day my Daughter got a call from them saying she owed them $2,000 on a credit card. I know as a fact she has never had a credit card. Needless to say I don't put a lot of my personal info on the internet any more and I sure wouldn't use a card to buy something on the net.

I had one of the Western Union prepaid cards a few years ago and it worked out pretty good all but the cost to use was pretty high. You couldn't put over $300 on it so if someone stole it they wouldn't get much. I used a on the internet but I would wait to see what something was going to cost then go put that amount on it.

Hi Margarit, I have 2 credit card for last time, but now I only have 1 credit card. Seen I use my credit card for paying loan bill, insurance bill, water or elecrical bill, shopping, so I can collect many point for exchange. That's the reason my credit card always get over limit, so what I think is I should get 1 more credit card.

I have four but I only use two of them. I try to control myself not to use credit cards too often as it will cause me to overspend easily.

Like most of the responses here, I don't have any either. I have a debit card though which I use when I don't have time to withdraw money or I just don't feel comfortable carrying cash with me (there's not much to carry anyhow..) I used to feel embarrassed before because all my friends have at least a couple of credit cards but I'm happy that I settle my purchases right there and then at the shop. I sometimes think that it'd be nice to have defer my payment on big stuff though but saving and being patient while saving is something that I'm proud that I am able to do.

I have seven credit cards and I only use two. Two of the major credits are joined credit cards with my husband and the only time I use them is when he left his card at home and then he pays. The two I use I pay off when the statement comes due. I have a good credit standing. I was thinking of getting a Capital One but since I am a pensioner, I doubt I would qualify. But two is enough for now.

I have one card, whic I only got as I needed to start a credit history (I plan to get a house at some point so this is important). I don't really like credit cards, I'd rather stick to cash and debit. I use mine responsibly and so it isn't really a problem.

I have one debit card and 1 credit card. I don't think I need any more than these. For places where charging to a credit card incurs higher charges, I use out locally accpeted debit card instead. I use the credit card to collect points to redeem for vouchers. I make sure that I have enough money to spend before I use the credit card. I used to have a few more which the bank offers but I cancelled those once the free subscription is up. Then I just keep only one. It's easier to keep track of your spending that way.

I have many cards and I wish that I did not have so many. I think that they can get you into lots of trouble. I have used up all the credit given to me on them. Now I have to continue to pay and it will take alot of time and extra money to do this.
