reasons why employer should provide Accident supplemental insurance to employees

I'm an insurance agent...I have an account whose employees have accidents over the weekend at home and on Monday file it as a Workers Comp claim. If the employee had an accident policy that paid cash to the employee to spend in anyway they want to spend it...and the employer paid the tax deductible premium for the policy for the employee...seems it would be a great way to address the overuse of Workers Comp for these accidents. Anyone have any input or additional ideas on why it's a good idea. Want to present it to the employer. Thank you.

The process doesn't sound too logical.
The employer, pays you no doubt for the policy to avoid fradulent behavior. Seems either way the employer pays through the nose.
