life long friend

Yes, I have had a best friend for 56 years. I was 2 when she was born. We have had short times of separation when we were in our early 20's & getting married. We have become very close again now that we are single again. We go to lunch together almost every week to discuss what crazy thing has gone on in our lives recently. We send each other silly emails. She ALWAYS knows when I need to be cheered up!!! That's when I get an email from her telling me what a wonderful friend I have been. I frequently send her a Thank You for Being My Friend email. Of course, it's NOT all hearts & flowers. We are very honest with each other!!! When she does something stupid, she totally expects me to tell her immediately. And she returns the favor. Of course, we ignore the others advice.

I have a life long friend i met him when i was studying third standard and also he is my neighbour.Since Fifteen year we are maintaining friendly relationship without any disputes.He always back of me in my good and bad times of my life we share everything each other. Thank you..

You both have been friends for more than 50 yaers..amazing..Congratulations. I got a friend in my college days - it was before 13 years. We have been friends from then till date. It was only with that person I felt more comfortable in sharing even my sorrows. Now as years have passed, we have a family for our own. So the time we spend together has minimised a lot. BUt still we do send mails. We call and have touch with each other..

Yes I too have a friend i have had forever.. she is 3 years younger than me and we met when she moved in next door. I even "babysat" for her.. although that was a joke.. and now 27 years later we are still friends. we too went months almost years without too much going on. but lately with cell phones and (she just got) internet we are in communication more.. she is only 2 towns away - but it makes it so much more fun when you can text about something funny you just heard or someone you just saw that you both knew from way back.. I am so glad to have a friend for that long that we share so much. and since we were both only children - I feel she is more my sister than anything else.

I do have a life long friend he got me my first date with a girl i meet him in grade 3 now im 21 years old. he was a good man. i would do anything for him and i know he would do anythign for me. we always had each others back ever since we meet he is a great friend. we have had fights. but we were able to work it out. as long as u and ure life long friend looks after u, U will be fine.

Hi Savypat, Wow more than fifty years that is fantastic to hear and I thought I was going well as my very best friend I have known for over forty years and met her my very first day at school but she now also lives a great distance away from me but I did get up to see her last year for a few days. We sometimes won't talk for ages over the phone and at other times maybe a few times in a month depending on what is going on in our lives really. The most importan thing though is that we know the other is there for the other is needed. Ellie :D

yes i have a lot of friend for high school and college. ive seen my friends in high school just this year before they left for australia. they live there already with their family. but everytime they come here they called me up to see each other again.

Savypat, I too have a lifelong friend, we still are very close, we met in the 4th grade, we both now are 47 so what does that make us as friends? at least 30+ years...my math sucks this early in the morning...LOL! But we both live here in the same town, we don't get to see each other as much as we did growing up of course, but we stay in touch with emails, by phone and once in a blue moon we get together for dinner; another long time friend of mine, we became friends when I was around 16, and she too is now 47, pushing 48 in November, LORDY me where did the time go??? anyway she has lived in Kansas for 20+ years and just recently moved back to Arkansas with her husband that is where he is from; But yeah we stay in touch call each other several times a year, and I always see her and her family when she comes home to see her Mom & Dad and family; but we must always try to stay in touch with our friends one way or another;

A friend who will stay with us in happiness,when we are in trouble the person who stay along with me that person is the life long friend whether it was a men or women. we have that kind of friends in our life that kind of friends will never come in our life so don't miss that kind of friends. Because i don't have that kind of friends in my life. I get my new friends when i went for my further studies no one stay with me.so friends dont lose your life long friends in your life we can share each and every thing with them. such type friends we want in our life.
