I travel quite often to countries in different parts of the world , taking ailine flights from city to city. The longest flight I had taken was from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Bangkok, Thailand. That took about 12 hours. It was a pleasant flight, but just too long for me. How about you ? What was the longest flight you had taken ?

I haven't flown out of the country yet. My flights haven't been all that long. Though sometimes they feel like forever when you are trying to keep a baby happy! I think my longest flight was only about 3 and a half hours. That was from Philadelphia to New Orleans.

I suppose Philadelphia to New Orleans would be a very pleasant flight.

Hello Green line. The longest flights I have taken were Singapore to London 14 hours and London to Hong Kong 12 hours. I have flown from London to Los Angeles and that was another 12 hour flight. I have flown from London to St Lucia on a 9 hour flight. I have flown from London to Male and in the Maldives on a 10 hour flight. I have flown from London to Cancun and that was a 10 hour flight. I have flown from London to Victoria in the Seychelles with a change of plane in Nairobi. So that on the way home felt was much longer and more tiring than my longest flight which was Singapore to London. I would prefer to stop over for a few days to break up a flight of 24 hours than to fly all in one go. This is what I have done when I have traveled to Australia and New Zealand.

How I feel when I get to my destinations depends on the number of time zones I have gone through. I felt exhausted after to London to Los Angeles flight, going to bed at 8pm and waking up at 4am! Coming back from the Maldives I got free upgrade so that flight was lovely and when I arrived I felt really well. The times of the flights in the South Pacific Islands like 1am and 2pm got to me a bit. I had to stay awake at the airport until dawn then I moved on to my destination.

The longest flight I ever took was back in 2000 when I traveled from LA, California to Sydney, Australia. It took a good fifteen hours. It was easier than I thought to sleep on a plane, but I really hated using their bathroom. So did my sister. Poor thing, she got sick on the plane and was actually IN the bathroom when the plane landed. I don't think they knew that because I'm pretty sure everyone is supposed to be strapped in when a plane lands.

Oh really ? Yup , one is supposed to be seated and strapped when landing. Fifteen hours flight is very long !

I only started flying in 2005. The longest flight was my flight from D.C. to L.A., it took 6 hours.but now that I've got the hang of this, I would love to fly to Italy. I heard it takes 9 hours.

The longest flight that i have taken was from Kuala Lumpur to London, during my university years as well as in 2004 when i had to go there for a course while working in the multinational company. During the university years of course i can only afford to take the economy class, but being an Executive in the company, i get to travel in the business class. All the trip that i had was very enjoyable.

Flying on a business class would be very nice and relaxing. Kuala Lumpur to London ! Was that a non-stop flight or one stop on the way ? Malaysia Airlines ?

I don't travel by plane, it was a trip by car here in our country. It's a trip that i took with my friends, to the Cordilleras to Ifugao. It took us 9 hours by car, then another 4 hours for the mountain trek to the hotel where we are to stay. But the long trip and the physical pain we endured for the trek was well worth it. It was the most magnificent and awesome place i have ever been. I am talking about the Banawe Rice terraces and there was a beautiful waterfalls too where the water was cool so taking a dip would be so refreshing. A nice day to you, my friend!

My longest is not nearly as long as that, but I have done a 7 or 8 hour one before. Can't remember how long it was exactly. That was from Atlanta, Georgia to Rome, Italy. Course that was just the non stop flight portion. Then I had to hop on a much smaller, much ricketier plane to La Madlina. That was a very short flight, that seemed much longer!!! Then after 2 days in Italy I had to fly to Greece, catch a boat for 1 day, then get on a heliocopter to my finaly destination, another ship in the middle of the Meditarian Sea. That was the long list of transportation to meet the first ship I was stationed on in the Navy. What an andventure that was. I was by myself for all of it also, so it was scary but exciting to be in Rome, not speaking any Italian and trying to find my gate for the next flight. But it was a blast. I had so much fun!
