Have you ever forgotten how old you are?

I just HAD to share this with you guys... it made me laugh so hard. I just got a text message from my best friend. It reads: "I just spent 5 very scarey mins trying to remember how old I am." I laughed so hard I almost choked. How funny is that? She is 24.... (I think...) so old age memory loss is not a factor. Has this ever happened to anyone else? Ever go so caught up in other aspects of your life that you forget how old you are? I know alot of people Wish they could forget how old they are. But has it ever actually happened???

I don't remember off the top of my head how old I am most of the time. I usually have to do the math based on being born in 1972. Then with my birthday being at the end of the year (November), I have to take into account if it's before or after November, and give the number based on that. I went in for some minor day surgery back in 1997, and was asked how old I was. I gave the wrong age to the doctor when she asked me as we waited outside of the operating room. I wish I could say I was already medicated at that point, but the reality is that I had another blonde moment.

I have those blond moments too and can't remember my age. Sometimes I just say 50 because I can't remember whether I am 51 or 52. I am 52 and will be 53 in November. I am just now getting use to being 52 and now I'm another year older.

I do that too. I have to start subtracting to remember how old I am. I guess at my age I'm not asked my age often, only my birthdate. I am 52 but will be another year older in November. Time goes by way too fast for me to remember my age.

ok this has so happened to me. when i turned 33, i told everyone i was about to turn 32. i am telling you i had no idea i was about to be 33. I had to call my brother and ask him how old he was just to make sure i was not going crazy! he's two years older then me. and when he told me his age, i was floored that a whole year went by and i was totally clueless to it. i like to chalk it up to the fact that i was pregnant, but i really don't know what happened to me that year!

When I was in my early thirties, someone asked me my age, and I answered 27, and then I thought about it and then had to go back and apologise and tell them my real age. I don't know what's special about 27, but it seems that my head is stuck there. Luckily I have two children who constantly remind me how old I actually am.

And growing age actually annoys me alot, because i am just becoming older and older and older. Anyways this is all part of the our life. and yeah Like tday 16th september is my birthday, I am 21 tday, and i am sure for about atleast 2 months i will rite and tell everyone that i am 20. lolz.

I am 59 and do not mind being the age I am and enjoy my birthday every year. This has not yet been a problem for me forgetting my age. I know some religions do not observe birthdays and I think that it could be a problem for some of them who don't acknowledge their birthday in remembering how old they are. Maybe one reason I don't forget is because I am the birthday keeper/reminder in the family.

This happened to me a long time ago, and the bad part about it was I was a teenager and it was nowhere near my birthday. My friends mom asked if I was 13, and I told her no I'm..ummm, (tried to play it off) I'm waiting for you to guess. She said 14 and I jumped on it like right good guess! I don't know what happened except for a major brain fart that day.

It IS funny but it also happened to me. I just turned 21 last June and before that I actually forgot how old I really am! I thought I was 19 and the only thing that kept me on track was the fact that I was graduating then and that I had my debut almost 3 years ago that time.

Hi Tee, I've forgotten many things but never my age. I guess this proves that you can have a seniors moment at any age LOL. Blessings.

This has happened to me a couple of times and I have to ask my peers to confirm my age, occasionally getting weird looks from them. I mean, you only remember your age a few times a year, and it changes every year! It's not like a fixed number like your security number or your pin code.

II2aTee, I'm 63. As I get older I often forget how old I am. When I turned 50 I began to realize that I could not avoid getting older I felt my age. I was stiff, had trouble getting in and out of the car, and had packed the pounds. I decided to be the best 50 I could. I took up tennis, (I played more golf and bowled.) I lost some weight. I beban taking care of my appearance. I started a tennis group and opened it up to anyone. Forty year olds to eighty year old joined. The eighty year old played better tennis than most of the rest of us. They also got along better with other people. If they had a medical problem they did not complain. I learned a lot from them. I not only forget my age, ...I no longer think about it. I play golf 3-4 times a week during the day. I bowl once a week, and I play golf 3-4 evenings a week. I read extensively, use the computer and know a fair amount about it. I did have to retire in order to do all these things. I have 6 grandchildren. I sit for them often, and encourage them in sports. Life can be wonderful even as we age. walkgal Karen

It happened to me fairly often some time after I fractured my skull. I believe it's a side-effect of some mild concussion I received from hitting my head. But these days, no, not really. But this phenomenon is quite perplexing, just like the fact that we know how old we are even though we (technically) don't have any items to remind us of it. I think it's because of our biological clock.

Ahaaaaaaa!!! As I see, it is not only problem of women but it is really big problem for men also! I think that it is the problem of everybody to try to live in peace with themselves. All of us become older and not everybody feel good with such situation. For my opinion the best way is to have good friends and beloved work or some hobby . It is the solution for such problem.

Uh...yeah. When I was in my early thirties, I had been lying about my age for so long, I forgot how old I really was. I was with my mother and someone had asked me my age. I was trying to tell my true age that time and was off by two years. My mother had to correct me. To my disappointment I was two years older than I had remembered. LOL
