Oh!! My laundry is waiting for me but I am still here in front of my computer

I'm doing the same thing. Monday is really the only day I have to spend much time at mylot. I get started here and just forget about everything else. I used to try to practise some tips from flylady.com. Her advice was to work for 15 minutes (set timer) then take a break doing something you want to do. I'll go start my laundry now, but I'll be back!!

i have the same problem as well when i had been so engrossed with my online activities... it is so hard to get my butt moving to do the cooking, cleaning the house, laundry, etc... but with the laundry, i usually make an effort to put it in the washing machine and let it run first because it doesn't take that long to do that... after that, i can go back to my online activities while waiting for it to complete the washing... i try to discipline myself though nowadays... otherwise, nothing will get done in my house... take care and have a nice day...

Mylot is what I do first. I have tried to organize my time between the computer and home and the computer wins out every time. I am like you I am on the computer and than have to do everything before my husband gets home from work. I will have to say one thing though my husband is very understanding and doesn't say anything about the house if it is not exactly as it should be.

this is how i do it i put a loaf of laundry in the washing machine then i come back to the computer and post some because my washer takes around 45 minutes or so then i will put my dinner on and if there are any dishes lying around i will wash them up then put my first load in the dryer and then put my next load of clothes in the washing so i multi task until all my work is finished i hope this helps you out

A typical wash cycle is 25 minutes, you can myLot during that time. A typical dry cycle is 1 hour, there is more time to myLot. In between the laundry you can load the dishwasher and catch a show on TV. After that grab the vacuum and that should take 10 minutes. I try to just spend 1 hour on myLot. I write for other sites but I do those at night because during the day I've thought about stuff that could help me write.

oh!! my laundry doesn't bother me a lot during the day because I have it once a week and that is every Sunday morning also the house cleaning. Since I am working outside home I have to schedule my daily task once a week.

The first thing I do in the mornings to get the coffee on for my husband. After he goes to work I do my house work. I will do my laundry while I am on mylot. Once I get on mylot its hard to get off thats why I do my housework first. Sometimes I sit here on mylot for hours. When my husband come home after work I jump up so he dont see that I am still on mylot. lol\mylot. lol.

I have piled of clothes waiting for me to hang and fold them..LOL! when I can start sitting down and work here, It will be hard for me to stand up but when I will check the time, I will be trying to do things as fast as I could and make the house ready and pleasing to eyes when hubby will arrive..LOL![/i]

Im the same as you but what I tend to do is put a load in the machine and then mylot, once it has finished I will sort it out and out my next load in. My rule is to use mylot when the washing machine is going or do a cleaning job, 5 mins on mylot and then do another cleaning job. I know it is hard to get off the computer but Im sure your husband would be annoyed to come home and find that you havent done any jobs!!

hi bebs...will i have an extra day to get things done, cause i'm not needed at work today. i need to get some laundry done as well, but my sister has some business person over and i thot i'd wait till that person leaves. i wanted to play catch up with my to-do list, cause i was too sick on the weekend. this extra day comes in handy.

hehehe Happens too often with me. I am never inclined to do house hold chores and so my computer always come first. I never organize my time at home. Act too lazy at home.

Hi. If I were you, I'd do the laundry. While waiting for the laundry, I'd do the cleaning. Have a quick look at mylot in between. I'd make sure all things are done first so that if I have extra time after that, I go back to Mylot. I like to multi-task. Isn't that something what women can do and men can't? hehe. Well go on.. multi-tasking saves time and it's fun sometimes.. hehe Have a good day.

I am also like you.. there were times when i just dont do anything but just 'play' with the internet (altho there are so many things to do) but there are also times when i finish all my work first before i start with the internet. i depends on my moods and how i feel on that particular days as well as how my kids are behaving themselves

hey same here =P the same thing is happening to me also at this very moment. i have pile of clothes that i need to put in the laundry machine before anyone else use it and i have to queue for another time again (i am living in a hostle), but i just get too lazy to lift my leg off to put all these clothes into the laundry machine. it's only a good thing that tomorrow is a holiday for me, so that i can slack for awhile, staring in front of my laptop. i am really bad at organizing my time actually. for instant i am always late for meeting up friends, because i always do everything at last minute, such as washing dishes, ironing clothes and stuff. practically, i cant mention anything that i can prioritise. gees, im such a bad woman right. i just hope that i can change for the better.

My chores, my cats, my family, and everything else comes before the computer. I have to make sure that everything that I need to take care of is taken care of before I go on the computer.

Well, you can do the laundry and being at the computer at the same time. It just takes few minutes to set-up the washing machine. And also try to clean up your house while downloading big files. Just try multi tasking and you'll definitely enjoy your time

Hello Bebs. Well, I think that it is almost the same with me when it comes to the Internet. I like to use the computer for a little while before I start to do some other things that I plan to do as I miss friends' discussion more than other household chores. lol.

i know what you mean! i am usually a doer and i get tons of things done from the time i get up until the time i go to bed but today not so much. i stood in the school parking lot for 1 1/2 hours talking to two other moms and i NEVER do that. i just got home about an hour ago and i am trying to get caught up on all my chores including getting in some mylotting. so i really have to limit my time here today!!!

There's no pattern really. But most of the times (well, almast always, to be honest) it's exactly the same. That is I sit in front of a computer just to check my email, then maybe forum, then something else, then sth else and so on and so on. Suddenly I notice its high time I went to bed, did the washing or whatever there was to be done :) Internet is highly addictive, isn't it?
