Ok is it only me who's guilty of watching Christmas on television when it's not Christmas?
Do you only watch Christmas movies at Christmas or do you watch them any time of the year?
I was feeling a bit down today and I thought I know I'll watch Golden Girls always makes me laugh and cheers me up, well I watched an episode filmed at Christmas and they were giving each other Christmas presents and they were stuck in Miami and it was snowing! and dumb Rose put on a Christmas record, Surfing Uk, by the Beach Boys Bless her!
I know dare I say it Christmas is only a few months away now, but have you watched a film about Christmas or an episode which is about Christmas when it's not Christmas?

Hi ya wolfie34
Well my kids have a Lazy Town DVD and the first episode on that is a Christmas one and they love it. I guess it is only a story. It's funny though because I am usually in another room when I hear this jingling of like sleigh bells and can't quite believe my ears so I go and investigate only to see them watching that DVD!

I feel that if you like a movie you should watch it as much as you want no matter what kind of movie it is. I like Santa Claus with Tim Allen and we watch it all year long. We have all three of his movies and I have to say that we watch them about six or more times a year not just at Christmas.
There is a movie out called Bundle of Joy that stars Eddie Fisher and Debie Renolds. This is a christmas movie about a woman who saves a baby from falling off the steps of a foundling home. The people who run the home think that she is the real baby moma but in truth she is not. In the end she will end up keeping the baby. This is a great story and should be watched not just at Christmas time.
My family also enjoy the animated christmas movies as well. These however, we only watch around the Christmas holiday. They are frosty the snowman, little drummer boy and rudolph the red nose reindeer. I do not see why you could not watch these all year but my family prefer these just around the holidays.

They just had on tv the Christmas movie with Chevy Chase (I love this movie) and "Home Alone" and I got so into these movies that I didn't care it was not Christmas I really enjoy watching them again. It's not that far away my friend, it scares me sometimes when I see how fast the time is flying by, before you know it, it will be 2009!

I love that Chevy Chase movie too. I usually only watch Christmas movies, after Thanksgiving until Christmas. My favorites are It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street, And A Charlie Brown Christmas. But I suppose these would be fun to watch anytime of the year!

I have watched Christmas episodes when it wasn't Christmas. Alot of times though Christmas shows make me depressed, not better. I always have alot of guilt at that time of year, thinking I wish I could hate provided more than I did. In my current financial state, its probably not a good idea for me to watch anything with a Christmas theme. I better watch Spongebob. Spongebob never seems to fail me for a good laugh.

If I happen to be watching TV and a Christmas episode comes up, I'll watch it. And sometimes I will just pop in a Christmas CD or tape, whichever is available. I love and never get enough of Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation!!

I have been known to listen to Christmas music throughout the year, for example I love Chris Rea, and I listen to his album often and one of the tracks Driving Home For Christmas, I play a lot of 80s music on Itunes and occasionally a Christmas song will start to play. Last Christmas by Wham as well. More often or not when you play albums there might be a Christmas track on there.

To me, wolfie, a good movie is a good movie no matter the setting. Some of my favorite movies and TV episodes are about Christmas. That special time of the year has always had a magical effect on me. I even listen to Christmas music at odd times.

I have watched a few christmas movies. It is great pick me up when I feel down one day. My favorites are Home Alone, Home Alone 2, The polar express, and the grinch. They always get me in the mood for christmas. They have been playing the home alone movies alot on encore so I've watched them a few times. It just gets you ready for the christmas season even though it is a bit away. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. :)

No you aren't the only one. My daughter loves Christmas time. She has several of her favorite movies on disc. Everyonce in a while she pleads pleas can we watch them. So once in a while yes we watch. But not too often. Otherwise they are not as special during that time of year.

Throughout the year, I've watched several movies that's set during the holiday season. I like to watch Love Actually every now and then and last week, I think I watched While You Were Sleeping when it was on Bravo. Watching these movies make me look forward to Christmas.

Yeah. I am one of those who love the Christmas spirit, whether in television or even in the papers. You may have heard as well that we, Filipinos, celebrate Christmas in a very remarkable way. And it is always celebrated long before it and long after it.
September usually marks start of the season here.

The only time I watch a Christmas movie or Christmas episode before Thanksgiving is usually one like the Golden Girls or some other rerun of a show where it is Christmas on that episode. Otherwise, I save my Christmas movies and shows til after Thanksgiving. Actually, Thanksgiving evening I always watch White Christmas with Bing Crosby, and Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation. When we were all together at my mom and dad's for Thanksgiving we would always watch this after the Thanksgiving dinner was over, and now that I live 1600 miles away, we still all watch it, just in different time zones lol. My sister will be calling to see if I'm watching it too.

Yes, I sometimes I do that. But it feels little awkward watching Christmas or other different season movies in a different season.

I love Christmas movies and/or TV shows and it doesn't have to be Christmas for me to enjoy them. That's why I'm so thankful for DVD's now because I can watch them whenever I want! We used to have to wait for them to come on TV. My kids love watching Christmas shows pretty much year-round as well.
