I eat a breakfast, lunch, evening snack and dinner. Do these count to three or four meals ? I don't know. What is more important is the intake of an adequate quantity water.

I eat a small breakfast, heavy lunch and very light dinner plus a light morning and afternoon snacks in between. I don't eat too much calories, but just what I need to give me energy and get through the day. I try to eat healthy, take vitamins and run regularly to keep a healthy shape. :)

I normally eat my 3 meals a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Occasionally, there is snack between lunch and dinner if I’m hungry enough to wait till dinner. But there are times that I skip breakfast, usually when I’m in a hurry that I don’t eat my breakfast just drink a cup of coffee or milk. I know skipping meals is bad especially breakfast. They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day; so I’m trying my best not to skip breakfast. If I have to wake up early just to not be in a hurry, I will so I’m not skipping any meal in a day.

I think the three meal a day "rule" is quickly being replaced by five "small meals" a day with each one consisting of a balance of carbs and protein. We used to call this three meals a day with a morning and afternoon snack, but sometimes the snacks consisted of very unhealthy foods. The five meal rule seems to keep the metabolism revved all day to prevent weight gain/ promote weight loss and more energy.
Sometimes I get busy and forget to eat until my stomach is rumbling or my head aches, but I usually try to eat the five small meals instead of three big ones. Sometimes one "meal" will consist of apple slices with peanut butter on them. Yumm.
