Which do you use for the majority of your recipes? Me I use the internet. I can't stand searching through cookbooks, I like having all the recipes I could imagine on hand on the internet.

I'd say I prefer cookbooks but tend to go to the Net. The reason I prefer cookbooks is b/c a lot of times I figure the people who picked the recipes already know those recipes work and are good. However on things like AllRecipes, there will be 100s of recipes that match the same thing, and then deciding which one to make is hard - especially when you start reading the comments! People will rate it high and then say "i changed this ingredient and that one, but it was good then!" B/c then the ratings don't mean anything. So anyway, I love the cookbooks I do have, but they don't have recipes for everything so that's why I go online.

I am right into the "Company's Coming" series of cookbooks. They seem to be easy enough and use everyday ingredients. I do use the internet for some stuff...not near as much as the books I have. I hope to eventually have the whole series...lol

I have some pretty good cookbooks but seldom use them any more. If I want a recipe for something specific, I do a search on the internet for it. It's so much easier than looking up things in a book. If I'm just browsing, trying to get ideas, I might leaf through a cookbook. Sometimes that leads to an idea but no recipe, then I go back to the internet.

I get ideas from both the internet and my collection of cookbooks. However, I don't really follow recipes. Even when I have one in front of me, I generally alter it (sometimes drastically).

Last few years, i love to collect recipes. SO for the food/dishes that i have always cooked before, i would refer to my collection recipe books. As for now, i love to find receipes from the internet. Like for example, if i were to cook a caramel pudding, i would looked for few recipes and compare each one of them, in terms of its easiness, amount of stuffs used, preparation time etc. I would finally choose the one that i like the most and start making it. Sometimes if i dont like the recipes inthe internet, i would just refer back to my books and decide which one to use. ;)

Any recipes I see on the internet that are really good looking ones I will put into a recipe folder that I have created,I opend the new file a while ago,I was on the good house keeping site and though there were some brilliant ideas on there,so I now surf the internet and any recipes that im likely to find that look useful then I will store them on my computer

I do both. Cookbooks can be kept and taken anytime of the day whereas the internet allows me to explore other areas of expertise or of cooking. It's fun using the cookbooks and the internet just the same. It broadens your horizon for fun cooking.

I like having cookbooks better. Even though I'm young and am fairly savvy with all the new technology, I'm old fashioned about a lot of things. xD I like books better because the recipes are all there and organized. When I'm thinking about cooking on the computer I can't pin point one recipe, or one ingredient to look up, lol.

I have a good sized cookbook collection. I read them like some people would read a novel. If I see something I like, I mark it in some way. Then I can get the ingredients together to make it some other time. If I have an ingredient and I want to make something NOW, then I go to the internet.

I prefer the internet, it's easier to search for recipies and sometimes you may not know what you want to cook but suddenly spot something interesting or new. The added advantage is that you get access to recipies from all over the world.

I have tons of cook books but lately I've been turning to the internet instead. It is so much faster. Plus some of my cookbooks are outdated so I can find more current recipes for stuff online. And it's nice because there are some sites like allrecipes.com where people can rate the recipes if they have tried them and also make their own suggestions on stuff that would make it better.

Bandit - My Bandit
I use both. I like to sit and flip through cookbooks to get ideas for dinner. I even get the kids involved in it sometimes. They will sit at the table and point out recipes that look good to them. Even the baby points things out sometimes. It is cute.

i do most on the internet for having some options on it, we can see the actual cooking of the chief and some of the ingredients that is not common to us might be a new learning on us.
