hey mylotters, have you experienced a day without eating regular meals like breakfast, lunch and dinner?.. As for me, I have experienced it!.. Its was not just a day but for 2 days, me and my friend experienced going to school without eating breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was during the time when the deadline for our project in one of our subject is coming. The subject was COMSCI 131 and the class was divided into groups. Each group consist of 2 person and we have to make a project that uses logic circuits. Our project was a brain of a digital electric fan and we had cost about 1500 Php or about $31 for the wires, bread boards, ICs and etc. All of us were struggling with our individual projects and we come to school without sleep and even without taking a bath.. hahaha...We cannot afford to take regular meals since we need time to construct the project. So we ended up not sleeping, taking a bath and not eating for 2 days.. We only ate some snacks if ever we feel really starving. That situation was also experienced by our classmates too and we just laugh at ourselves for coming to school with empty stomach, same clothes as yesterday and with very dark eyes and big eye bugs for not sleeping the whole night..When i reminisce that days, turned out to be a fun experience.

I experience several days out of the week that involve little to no eating, but i do not try to make it happen, nor do i suggest you do either. My main reason i think i don't eat most of the time is because i smoke. Instead of going throught the process of getting something to eat, i find it easier to step outside and smoke. Then my appetite is gone. I know this is not healthy, and probably the reason i'm very small, but it is the reason none the less. Again i do not reccomend doing any of these habits. It would be better to find a healthy meal or snack to satisfy your hunger.

well, as for my experience, it was unintentional.. Due to lack of enough time, we cannot afford to eat regular meals because we have to finish our project. Like you, i also cannot recommend not eating within a few days since it can lead to ulcer in the stomach. Right now, i have ulcer and i really have to eat when I'm hungry and i cannot skip meals since my stomach will ache and its so painful.

Yes I have, but its usually when im sick. When I got my wisdom teeth out I pretty much went a week without eating. Some days I would eat some soup, others maybe a bit of yogourt, or others nothing. The pain I was in and the medicine I was on just made me lose the desire to eat. I lost 10 pounds, but once I was all healed I went back to normal eating habits. Ive gone a day without eating regularly thought when I wasnt sick. I was just really busy and forgot to eat. Then after a while you just dont feel like eating anymore.. the hunger goes away.

yes, sometimes when i am sick, i don't feel eating any food. I think the taste buds are not fully functioning at those times since any food i eat will taste nothing..lol..

Once I actually spent two days without food, but that resulted in gastric trouble from then on. I advice any one not to try that as the results are too bad. As for the regular food I spent last week in a different state where I cannot any of my regular food and even though I had food it's like starving.

I once when on a fast and went without eating for two days but on the third day I thought I was going to die so I ate. Once in a while when I eat foods that are not good for me I'll go without eating for 12 hours till the junk is out of my system

That was a tough project you had had. I wished I would not have to go that far for a project. As for taking irregular meals, that is common for me. I live alone so I hav eto buy my own food. I rarely have a complete meal in a day since then. I often skipped breakfast, I often have only one meal per day. I know this is not right but given my situation, I am left with no choice. Sometimes, I am just plain lazy to go out and buy food. I try to change this though. Hope I will be successfull!

Only when I had to prepare for an operation and I wasn't allowed to eat for 12 hours, and believe me for me 12 hours is enough, I certainly couldn't do it for any longer, I feel as though my stomach is about to explode, I hate the hunger feeling and I know people can go days without eating and it's like torture. I don't think I've ever done it for a whole day let alone any longer, I just don't have the willpower, I'm far too weak willed when it comes to food. Well done for going for 2 whole days without eating!

Recently I had stayed 12 hrs fasting because of a blood test that I had to make and to be truthful I really find it hard not to drink or eat anything. Usually I fast on Good Friday just to remember the hardships of our lord. And even on that day I am tempted to have the biggest meal of my life.

Oh dear...that sounded rough, but you're right about it being a fun experience. You'll always have that memory all through the days of your lives. Personally I can't go by without food for more than hours since I'll then feel some pains in my stomach. Ugh... How did the project go, by the way? :-)))) Hope it all went well.

I was getting just a wee bit hungry. lol

I have gone through days when I ate only a few, like two or three, meat pies for the whole day. Thats happened recently and it has to do with my flow of cash. Its hard because it gives me nausea and bad feelings. But what do you do when you have little money ?

I do this on occasion on a very lazy weekend, when I just stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. Literally. No TV, computer, meals, just sleep, wake up, sleep, wake up, sleep, from Saturday morning to Monday morning - by then I do need a breakfast before coming back into the real world. I would not recommend it to anyone whose blood sugar levels are off, whether it is diabetes or hypoglycemia (or is it hyperglycemia ... probably both)

No I can't because I tend to have hyper acidity easily, It's very painful when that happens so I make sure I never skip meals. I hope that you get to eat regularly now.
