My family and I will be moving to RAF Croughton in early November. We will have a few weeks to get settled before my husband has to start working (he's in the US air force). We would like to do some traveling in England. Any suggestions? Just wondering, thanks! Rachel

I live in England and hope that you will enjoy relocating there whilst your husband works for the RAF. I suggest that you have some day trips and weekend adventures to make the most of your time living in a foreign country. London is the capital city and so that is well worth visiting. It has Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London and Hampton Court. Other cities that would be lovely for you to see are York, Chester and Bath. Charming places that are quite unique are Glastonbury, Rye, Canterbury and Winchester. I think you might like to see Stone Henge, Land's End and The Isle of Man. You might like to see the green countryside and the old cottages. Good luck with your move in November and bring some warm clothes for winter.

My son is just in the process of applying for the RAF now! Although Britain has a bad reputation in a lot of areas it is actually a beautiful country with some beautiful places to visit. I do not know whereabouts RAF Croughton is or what sorts of things you like doing, but we have lots of theme/attraction parks, there is legoland in windsor, alton towers which is pretty good that is in staffordshire, Drayton Manor is also a good one. Some nice places to visit are Matlock and Scarborough and wales, they are all nice to visit.
