I have always had a considerable amount of anxiety and I have done many things in my life that I regret that I have been able to overcome. I cheated on my boyfriend which is now my husband. Well after I thought we had gotten through it in January of this year he cheated on me and I lost it. We decided that we wanted to be togethe and that neither of us could make it without each other in March of this year. I have tried so hard to forget and I know he is faithful now and things are better. But I can not help my little things that I do to keep trying to prove him wrong and find something wrong. It is really wearing me down and keeping me depressed and killing me if you want to go there. I am losing myself. I don't want drugs or therapy. I want to know if anyone has ever had hypnosis to work? Can I go to someone to do this to help change how I view this event and help make my life better?

I dont really believe in hypnosis but i do believe that there is nothing impossible on prayers. I think what you really need is forgiveness for yourself and forgiveness for what your husband did in the past. As long as you cant forgive yourself for what you have done in the past and move on a better life. That part of you will always haunt you. Learn how to forgive and forget about the past and asked for Gods guidance. Healing will takes sometime but once you open up your hearts and mind to it and accept the fact that we all are human beings who sometimes commit mistakes in our lives then eventually you will start to forgive and forget about the past. What happen in your past is what haunt you. The guilt that you feel and the feeling of not able to trust your husband again after what he did is what stops you from living a happy and peaceful life.

I never liked hypnosis that much, I think when you are hypnotized you are not thinking with your own mind, as far as I know, you are hypnotized when you are being controlled by another person. Just a tip, try to keep your mind off the cheating thing and try to think of good times, you'll be fine soon.

i've seen a hypnosis show, but it doesn't always work. if your mind isn't willing to let go, then it won't work for you. you should try some couple therapy first before you try to get into those things. hypnosis would be a last straw. it seems like it can probably be fixed through a good therapist.

Hypnosis is very helpful. It can be used to relieve stress, anxiety, depression. I am not sure how it works but I have seen it in action. A friend of mine suffered from anxiety and when through hypnotherapy and it worked wonderfully for her. Do some serious research on it before you do anything. And if you decide to have it done, make sure it is by a reputable hypnotherapist. There are a lot of frauds in the world that will just take your money and not help you in the least.

Hi bailey, this is a very serious situation that you are talking about here. I don't know anything about hypnosis but I do know about therapy and facing things head on. I don't believe that you would be doing the right thing by trying hypnosis because it isn't going to change the picture. I don't know what you expect it to do for you. Nothing is going to make the situation come out in a nicer way. You need to face it and get through, get over it, get past it, and move on. If you can't do this then you and your husband will not have a chance because it will always keep coming back to haunt you. You have to put it in its proper perspective and let it go! I used to not believe in therapy. I fought my demons for all of my life until a year ago. I got the help that I so needed and now I am continuing my therapy with a new therapist starting Monday. I wouldn't dare stop now! Believe me I know what I'm talking about. Please baily, listen to what I'm saying, try talking to someone who is a professionl, not a hypnotist-they can't fix what's in your mind a just make it disappear! Please think about it. If you want to talk to me send me a pm with your addy so I can write to you. My pm's only work incoming. I can't send any out because mylot won't fix them. I am serious. I will talk to you all night if you want. Please....

hypnosis is a very useful way to manage it. but i suggest that yoy should find a good one to do hypnosis, and make sure this person is trustworthy, because hypnosis is very important, and if something bad happend when you are doing hypnosis , it will very bad.

I'm not so sure how hypnosis would work. I've heard that it does work and I've heard that it doesn't work. The thing with hypnosis is, they cannot make you do anything that you do not already want to do. They can't just put you under and suggest things and you'll automatically do them. I'm pretty skeptical about it myself but if you are really interested in it, I would look into it more before you decide. Try some internet research or something.

I see hypnosis could be the therapy you can use to solve your problem wit anxiety. But I don't think it would work if you just focus on your anxiety. The real problems that caused the anxiety itself that should have been resolved by the therapy. My partner went to the hypnotherapist to overcome her emotional problems without really overcoming the real problem why she became emotional, the therapy failed. I am not gonna discourage you from taking this therapy but I hope you know your problem and solve it from the root of the problem :) Good Luck baileycows :)

Hypnosis works GREAT. I've struggled with anxiety for years and last summer I went to a hypnotist to try to get to the root of my issues. It didn't completely cure my anxiety but it definitely gave me new perspective. It's hard to understand if you haven't actually ever experienced it but I would describe it as blocking out all outside influences. What society, your husband, your friends, and your family feel don't matter. It's just you and your mind. I believe it will become clear to you why you feel the way you feel and in doing so, the actions you used to partake in may seem silly. It worked for me and if you're willing to try it I believe it can work for you too.
