Which One would you recommend. I use a macbook and am a college student, I like both and was wondering what kinds of pros and cons there are in regards to these things

I think Safari because it especially made for Macs. I work in tech support and I know that we rarely have issues with Safari as we do with many other browsers.

Safari as it is tailor made for Macbooks. On a Windows though it would easily be Firefox though Safari is slowly catching up. The problem with the windows version is mainly the font.
Since you are talking about Apple Macbooks...then Safari. It runs nice and fast and smooth and doesn't hang at all if at all it does. So Safari for me and it is already built in to the Mac OS software.

I think the best option you have is Firefox, just because it got more options then Safari, goes quicker and have less bugs then any other Internet browser. Firefox is as far as my knowing available for every operating system (Linux,XP,vista etc.), and even if you would have a slow internet connection, Mozilla FireFox, is optimalising your connection, doesn't load unnecessary things, and got everything you need.
I'm using none of these, just the normal Miccrosoft Internet Explore, just because after many years I'm so used to it, that I can't change anymore. But if I really had to choose between Safari and Firefox, I wouldn't even doubt, and pick out Firefox !
