These were the words my son said to me today whilst feeling unwell, I had to laugh inside as he is only four and was poorly yesterday and I asked him how he felt this morning and his reply bless was 'mummy you know I sneeze when near the rabbits well I think I am allergic to school' So what allergies have kept you off school or work before now. Ellie :D

I had a good laugh reading your post. Your four year old son has taught me something about giving excuses. From now on, if I do not want to do something or go somewhere, I will just give the excuse that I am allergic to that thing or that place, and who can say I don't have such an allergy, right?...LOL. For a start, I am allergic to work today, because I feel lethargic and feeling a little lazy to want to do anything. Let's see...tomorrow, I will be allergic to ....

Wow Ellie, you sure are very quick in replying. Yes, the race will be coming on next weekend. Work is still going on feverishly to complete the preparations to have the race going. They are now testing the lighting illuminating the race track. The illumination is so high, it is brighter than day. It has to be given that the F1 cars can zip by at above 300kph at the straight stretches, so the drivers will have to be able to see clearly the way ahead. You can get quite a good graphic of the track here http://www.singaporegp.sg/ticket/index.php . I will be watching the race live on television from home. The excitement's building up to race week. I read that the tickets for race days are almost about sold out, so the reception to this first night race is pretty good. Tomorrow being Saturday, I will take a drive around the racing circuit roads to see how things are shaping up.

I will be watching from TV, not quite the same but I bet I get to see more of it. I was gigglin inside as he said it so seriously bless. Ellie :D

Hahahaa - my husband's a teacher, and he says he's allergic to school every morning! In actual fact, he has a terrible rash on his back which has been seen by two dermatologists and a GP - they've ruled out allergies or mites, and I have a feeling it's stress caused by school. I'm hoping when he retires it finally clears up!

Hi Humbug, I texted my daughters to tell them what he had said and both were in stitches over it, it is only his second week of fulltime school and I think he is worn out bless but yes kids do say the funniest things. My younger daughter really embarrassed me at a dinner party one night as all the kids were upstairs playing and we heard thumps from upstairs and they had been jumping on the bed. I told her to get off and in front of everybody she said 'but you and daddy jump on the bed cos I heard you ground open up now please Ellie :D

Oh He is a sweet heart! Love to him. I think I didnt have any allergies. In fact it was great fun going to school. I just loved to play and was a complete outdoorsy kid. Studies were fun as well, but only until I went to middle school when study pressure nearly bowled me off. Huggles.

That's the cutest and funny thing that I have heard coming from a young student. Tell your son that he is fortunate to leave schooling when he is a grown up. I am forced to stay at school until my age of retirement.

kids are funny most of the time, they find all good reason to do some thing bad. but its parents duty to create interest in then. No use of scolding but enjoy with then and make them understand how important is schooling for them.

Hi Manojknair, Oh he loves school it is just that because he was unwell and sneezing his logic told him he must be allergic to it like he is the rabbits LOL. My eldest is at university so I have always stressed the importance of a good education but have also taught them life skills too. Ellie :D

That is so adorable of him to say something like that. I have a few allergies but as far as I know they have never kept me from doing anything. I have an allergy to penicillin and its relatives. I am also allergic to cinnamon and shrimp. All I can say is that at least I am not like my cousin for she is allergic to chocolate. I dont think I would be able to stop myself from eating it anyways. I find that I still eat some shrimp but in moderation. as for cinnamon I cant eat it at all though.

Hi Jaydensmom and a big warm welcome to myLot. Have fun here within the discussions and make lots of new friends too. I thought it was cute too. That made me laugh and I think I must be allergic to doing the dishes too. I am terrible lately as have a new puppy who takes up a lot of time and am working extra hours so I let them pile up. I had my neighbour round to tea on Friday and they ended up doing them. LOL. Thanks for your input. Ellie :D

That is so cute. Children are our hearts and can come up with the darndest things to say. lol Just tell him well I guess you'll just have to take an allergy pill and tough it out bug guy and give him a baby asprin that's a low dose for your heart. It won't hurt him and he will think his fine, if he goes along with it. He will probably fess up and say oh, mommy its....this or that I don't need medicine. lol

Hi! Funny reading this because I am a teacher and today, one of my middle-school students told me that he's allergic to school! Well, it's allergy season anyway, and I know that he's not the only one sneezing and having watery eyes. It's just that his statement made me think of the time I was in middle school as well. I wasn't looking forward to going to school. Well, there were one or two subjects and teachers that I liked, but these would not compensate for the grueling task of homework, projects and activities. I try to make my subject more fun because I know that the students these days have very low attention span. Hopefully, I won't get "allergic" to work! Regards to your son! Happy myLotting!

Hi Ag-abscruzmd, I think being a teacher must be very frustrating but rewarding at the same time, I admire anyone that does teach. Strange that one of your pupils came out with the same thing LOL. Thanks for sharing. Ellie:D
