Hi Chandra, i couldnt agree with your comment. eating chicken will not amke anyone fat. chicken has high amount of proteins. it is best than mutton or beaf as those have much cholestrol.i agree that eating fat in in high quantity will make one fat. but i dont believe the fat in chicken will make anyone too big.

not all chicken meals are not healthy, you can have chicken breasst every day and that would be fine. you just need to take out the skin, do not fry and steam. of course you can eat fried chicken whenever there is no other options, but too much of anything is not good at all.

I'd say the same, about once or twice per week. Its really the only kind of meat I can cook.

I make chicken atleast 4 times a week. Chicken will not cause weight gain if u remove the skin and trim any fat that is there. In fact, chicken or fish is a better option to red meat like beef or lamb. However, the rule of eat in moderation does apply to all foods. I like the chicken recipes and videos here as they offer a step by step guide to http://ifood.tv/network/chicken/recipes

In our family, we have it thrice a week, excluding those with whatwe had in Jollibee,Mcdo & KFC. I guess i'm not watching my diet, why i grow this big. Well, if you find some changes in life, you minimize and try to beat up some calories. When you are watching about figures, and you wanted to eat,Eat in a different way, not always fried, but to make a little saucy, but not too big slice for a chicken. I used to do some alternative in cooking, with only a piece of leg that can feed at least 6 people, without taking too much of the whole chicken. Dont concentrate on cooking adobo alone, try to used some veggies to make it more appetizing with chicken, slice like porkchop, so thinly slice. Nuggets can be homemade, mixing with more veggies of carrots, potatoes, like shanghai.Try to experiment cooking with less of meaty slices. Enjoy eating, dont crave on chicken alone, when you can have more recipe to come up with. Salad can be a flavoring appetizer. Eat in moderation, dont be sick because you are deprive to something you can have, for a little.

I eat chicken about 4 times a week. After watching programs on TV exposing the conditions that chickens live in and the battery hen vs. barn or free-range hens, I decided to do a bit of research and pay closer attention to the products I was buying.
If you buy chicken that was from a battery hen (ie. the cheapest chicken in store) then these will actually contain as much fat as a hamburger. The reason for this is the chicken is fed leftover and is contained in a small cage 24/7, 365 days. The cages are too small for the chickens to move around in and therefore do not get any exercise leading to a fattier meat with less vitamin B.
Barn and free-range chicken are allowed to roam either in a large barn with windows or freely move between the hen house and the outside. Since the birds are allowed to partake in exercise this meat will be lean.
For more information about battery farmed chicken vs. free range check out "Hugh's Chicken Run" on www.channel4.com
