Did you ever pretend to be sick and get medical leave to avoid from working? I have seen quite some people in my workplace who are doing this. They just pretend to be sick and get medical leave to avoid from working. Although this is not a good attitude, but this is a good way to escape from work, once in a while to get more rest. What do you think? Do you think this is a bad attitude? Please share with me,thanks.

Well, I know it happens with a lot of jobs. People are always finding ways to leave work and have someone worry about them, when in reality they might just be finding an excuse to leave work and take some time off. But since I am Diabetic, and have a lot of issues, I never have to worry about them believing me, but at the same time, there are times when someone thinks I should leave and I stay just because I feel it is not to serious yet as well. Because in reality, if you overdo your sick time, excuses, etc. they could eventually come back to bite you as well.

Yes I have some what. I tend to be a little sick and just make it so I seem sicker. It's not always a good idea but sometimes you just need a little break. I don't think it will hurt anyone to try it every now and then.

I do not have a job to go to now. I do not work. But when I did work sometimes I would call in to work and tell them that I was sick so that I could do something else that I wanted to do. But sometimes it would turn out that I would really get sick and then I would have to go to work, because I had used up my sick days. Sometimes you get caught too and get fired if they catch up with you pretending to be sick.
