I am using Windows XP in my company laptop and my home PC. I had switched to Windows XP in 2002~2003. Before that, I used to be using Windows 98 since university time. Now, many people are moving to Windows Vista. But I feel that it doesn't have much improvement compared to Windows XP. Besides, I feel that the early released version usually is not perfect yet. Therefore, I will only move to Vista when it's finalized and stabilized.

I have Fedora 8 and Windows XP Home here on my laptop. In the office, I Windows Vista. If you are a programmer or a developer or if you just like tinkering around with computers and shell scripts and command prompts, you might want to try out Linux. Fedora 8 is a flavor of Linux that is free and has a lot of developer support. It's not really that user friendly for those who have transferring from Windows but if you use it long enough, you'll get used to it.
I don't really use my Linux that much. I only use it to check usb thumb drives and remove any viruses and unwanted files from them or from Windows. Linux is very secure so you don't have to worry about viruses.
