When was the last time you cooked for a loved one?

The last time I cooked for someone I love was earlier this morning. ;D Today is my youngest brother's birthday and since our mom is not around, the responsibility to prepare for the celebration fell on me. Our mom is working overseas for almost three years now and she just called to greet the "baby pig" (that's how she calls him because he's kinda chubby. LOL) a happy birthday. I don't really know how to cook unlike my mom who's a nutritionist. But I tried my best. I prepared for spaghetti, my brother's favorite and bought the rest of the food. Haha. Luckily, they liked how it turned out. Yey! When was the last time you cooked for a loved one? What was it? ;D

Well, I only cook for my husband and I do that every day. I didn't do anything special today as it was a glorious sunny day (which is seldom in Ireland) so we spent it out tidying the garden. Then we had a Chinese Takeaway. However, I made him his favourite meal yesterday. I grilled some sirloin steak, cooked mushrooms with mushroom sauce and I made some fries from fresh potatoes. Would you believe, he didn't even say it was nice. Men!!

My wife's birthday was this past Wednesday so I cooked her dinner. I cooked a curry chicken dish and also roasted a bunch of veggies in the oven, potatoes, green peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes and zucchini. It turned out great and I didn't burn anything.

Wow. I wish I could do that too. I'm really not fond of the kitchen. I do cook from time to time. My specialty, anything that needs to be fried. Haha. I'm sure your family appreciates it so much. Happy cooking everyday! ;D

divinegwapa, I have to cook every day from scratch, no buy packet food or read made food, I have to have everything fresh that the way my husband wants it and I hate cooking, I would do anything but cooking it because I have to. Tamara

The last time I made an elaborate meal for a loved one was the night before my sister went on her 2-month trip. It was at the end of May. It was just for me, my sister and our mom but I made a lot of Spanish rice, Chicken with tomatoes and mushrooms and made cupcakes for dessert. Last month, I cooked shrimp with ketchup, parmesan and other ingredients for my sister and a close friend.

cookin`.. hmm.. weird word for me.. anyway,,. the last time i "cooked" was some weeks ago... guess what .. some popcorn :)) yeah... funny isn`t it? y lover asked me to do that.. and i had no other opportunity that to |cook" him some,., by the way,, i haven`t got the faintest idea about cooking.. so .. at that moment being "forced" to do that.. i just called my friend and asked for the receipt ... and.. in the end.. we just ate.. fryed or burned corn :))that`s when n. decided not to ask me again to cook.. now he is the one that prepares our meals
