I still remember the day when I bought my first cell phone. About ten years ago I was telling my wife that I need a cell phone in case something urgent happens to us or our close family. At that time she believed that cell phones were a waste of money.
A few weeks later my father in law needed to be recovered urgently in hospital. Our relatives could not get to us by phone since I was using dial up internet at that time. Due to this experience, my birthday present that year was a nokia cell phone.

Well cellphone nowadays is a basic neseccesity. It comes in handy with business and emergencies. You may never know when an accident will hit you so its handy to have a phone, police are just a phonecall away. When it comes to business its nice to have it too for you can do transactions leave instructions while on your way or doing other things that needs attention. Ah!!! The best part of having a cellphone is calling your love ones where you might not able to see them at least you can hear them and check them out once in a while. Its kind of a remedy for loneliness and boredom. There are several features of a cellphone but these are its basic use so this are the reason why I bought myelf a cellphone.. Happy mylotting!

My husband is a computer engineer and has to do a lot of travelling so he was supplied with a mobile phone from his place of work. When he brought it home and showed it to my, I thought it was the bees knees. Then I thought, wouldn't it great if we were both able to speak to each other while he was at work and I was out shopping. Well, off I went next day and ordered my mobile phone. I thought I was very posh then as very few people here had mobile phones at that time. Now I think new babies are getting them for christening gifts!

to keep in contact with my spouse while i was at work.. we would call each other on our breaks and we got it for emergencies.. the first plan we got had unlimited minutes local and long distance so we made our home phone have local only which saved us some money and used our cell for any long distance calls.. later on we cut off our home phone and only used our cells but that backfired since our real estate lady called us every 5 minutes about the status of our new house (which isnt a bad thing just my bill was insanely high) so i will never get rid of my landline again.. and i have a home security alarm that has to have a landline

Both my husband and I have very inexpensive models of tracfones. The phone was less than $20 and we add minutes and time as we need them. No monthly bills and no contracts. At different times both of us have travelled for work and we needed to be in touch with each other, or have a phone handy in case of car trouble. Other people seldom call us, even if they know our number.

well, i convinced my family i needed a cell phone of my own (because at the time i was using my sisters when i went out) when i started interning at a radio station and more and both me and my sister needed to contact each other. so i went and got a free plan, loved my little cell. kept it for about 2 years. at first it was hard to maintain the minutes because i kept going over because i would let everyone use my phone BIG MISTAKE, they racked up about $90.00 on a $40.00 a month plan. It was under my sister's name since minors can't sign contracts and she was pissed! either way, i stopped letting people use my phone and only used it to contact people and for people to contact me. Then it started to even out. For about 5 years after that I didn't have a cell. I just got another one recently this time a gift from my other sister who's kids i watch. she was tired of not being able to contact me when i went out with her kids so she put me on her family plan.

My boss bought it and in fact they bought one for all of the trucks because they saw they need to be able to contact us whenever we are on a trip away. Basically we cannot make a lot of calls on it as the only nubers we can all are the ones registgered to the company. So I seldom use it at all except to take calls that is and they will be from my partner a few times a day and sometimes from the boss of course.
In fact at certain places, I turn the darned thing off. I will not have it on when I am driving in city traffic as it is a nuisance and I would not answer it anyway, regardless. Even if there was an emergency, there would be nothing I could do if I am a long way from home. For example if I am in Sydney then that is at least 12 hours, Melbourne is 8 hours and Adelaide is 5 hours. Of couse it can be longer depending on where in the city I actually am at the time and which direction I am heading. For example if I am delivering to the wharf in Melbourne, then it would be at least 10 hours before I could get home and maybe more by the time I got a clearance to leave. No I am quite happy not using my mobile/cell phone.

I got my cell phone 4 year back , i was just 15 years old but why my dad got a cell phone for me because i was coming home from a coaching centre at 9.30 pm or even later , at that time he cannot or anyone from my home cannot come and pick me up i come home with my friends ,so he got me a cell phone .then the same year i got a new cell phone and now i guess this is my 4th cell phone of nokia.. yes i think cell phone is useful during the time of emergency but then the signal of the service provider if it is down then there is no use of possessing this cell phone!

I got one for an emergency. I went to a shower at our large park and we could not find where it was so we had to drive all the way home and call our other son to find out where the engagement shower was and I figured after that it was a bother to drive over ten miles back home. So I decided that I had better buy one just in case an emergency came off. We only had to use it once because our home phone did not work, and we had to connect them to find out why. And if we are driving and something comes up, we can get in touch.

there's a lot of things why i have bought a phone. of course the main reason is for communication purposes. i use it also as an internet device and also an all-around multimedia device. i also use it as a camera and a video. i don't use it much as a phone. i don't call or text that much. from music and movies everything is in my phone. i don't use it much as a portable game console. i prefer useful utility applications.

There are plenty of reasons i have a phone. One anyone who drives a vehicle needs a phone. In cases of emergencies or accidents or breaking down. Two as a mother i need a phone if something happens to my son and i am no where near a phone. Three living in a large family that everyone is constantly needing to use the phone it helps to have your own phone. Not to mention my parents are considering cutting off the land line. Thats a few reasons. There may be more but thats my top reasons as of now.

My cell phone was a gift. I don't really need one and didn't really want it. But, it's good for emergencies. I barely use it, though.

yes i think cell phones are really important in day to day life as we use them all time when we need it may be to speak or contact to anyone, to convey some news, when you want to contact when you are in a need and in this way all the time cell phones are usefull.
it happens we everytime realise the importance of any of the thing when we are into problem and it happened to me too when i was a student my college bus had met with an accident and hence i contacted my parents from my cell and i think in this way cell phone are really important. and i also agree that it also used to entertain ourself but i think it should not be the routine and should be used in the right way.

i feel a cell phone is very important in our daily lives, espacially in nowdays .when we feel unhappy or tired ,we can share our thoughts and ideas with our parents or friends by a cell phone .if there are something urgent happens.for example when we cold or sick ,we can call hospital for help.in a word ,a cell phone is important ,we can not live well without them.
