Hi there!
Both are actually good if you handled them well. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
The disadvantages of a business is that it has a lot if risk involved and you don't know if it will be successful or not. The earnings are also not fixed cause there are times the business will get few sales and at times the sales are high. The advantage however is that you can to be the boss and you don't have to work for anybody else. You can be your own boss and you can work at your own time.
Having a job on the other hand has a lot of advantage financially. The earnings will be fixed and you get to have employees benefits. The disadvantage of having a job is that you have the responsibility of going to work everyday.
I have experienced having both. I suggest if you want to put up a business, if possible you must still work while having a business. Having 2 sorces of income would be much better that depending on just one income.
Ciao!

You can search the net for part time jobs. Try searching for workathomemoms.com or WAH.com. You might find some good part time jobs there.
Good luck!

Business is better but not everyone is suitable for business. You need to have a different mentality to succeed in business. You cannot have an employee mentality if you want success in business. You need to love your business and work really hard/smart. You will also need to know how to manage your business and need to have management skills, negotiation skills, time management, and many other skills. In the long run business is better as you can become rich. You can never become rich in a job.

Home based businesses have the most tax deductions, by far. With a home business, you have time freedom, you can be your own boss and get paid what you're worth. You don't have to worry in these hard economic times about getting laid off.

Hey there, I've tried doing business and it is so hard and requires a lot of self-discipline and determination. If you are not the type that can be that way then I suggest you get a job. It really depends on the type of person you are. Business is like a gamble. If you have the luck and hard work then of course it is more rewarding than a job.
