What will you be doing today, this last day of summer? Is it feeling like fall where you live or still a bit like summer? I have put out my fall decorations, and have pumpkins on my porch, and there has been a coolness to the air this past week, and supposed to continue through the upcoming week. We really didn't have much of hot summer weather here in PA this year, and they say it will be a colder than normal winter this year with more snow. I always look forward to the fall with the changing of the leaves, all the vibrant colors. Are you ready for Fall?

Well here in Houston you just never know how it is going to be for us in the fall because it varies, sometimes it does get cool and other times it is not till early December that it may cool down. It is still hot in humid here, I hope that this year it gets cooler than last year we need a change.

Yes, I know how Houston is, my parents used to live there, my sister lives down at Seabrook. I'm just hoping the weather stays good down there for the next couple of months while people try to recover and rebuild their lives after Ike.

We had a family trip to the zoo. We met an friend and her son there as well. It started off cool Then as the afternoon progressed it got a bit warmer. Nothing too hot. All in all the perfect day. And a nice end to the season.

Right now the NASCAR race just started and we are watching it. It feels so good outside and I hate being in but the mosquito's are horrible around here. We have also had some cooler weather, in fact it feels down right chilly out there at times during the night and in the mornings. It is so unlike south Texas to be getting northerly winds this early in the year. The leaves on our trees are actually chaning too and I am so used to them being green then in dec. or jan they fall off. I love fall and spring so much.

The last day of summer already? Over here in England we're all still waiting for it. This year seems to have gone from spring straight into autumn and bypassed the sunniest month. Hope you had more sun where you are?

It was the last day of swimming so we went out to boyfriend's sister's family pool and spent a nice, fairly warm day in the water. Up here in Canada, it's already partly fall. The leaves were turning yellow and falling from the trees, making that wonderful crunching sound when you walk on them. Yes, after this busy summer, I'm ready for a relaxing fall.

It seems like life goes flying by faster every year. I can't believe the fall has come again. It is my favorite time of year. When I see the mountains changing to red and yellow, I remember gathering leaves as a child. What wonderful memories. I was married in the fall and we had our flower girl drop leaves down the isle instead of petals. It was beautiful. Our wedding colors where yellows and reds and oranges. I love this time of year.

It doesn't feel like the last day of Summer, because we haven't really had a proper summer her in the UK! Today my mum and I went out into the garden and spent three hours tidying up the garden and making it look nice, we have a big garden and it was nice to feel the sun on us as we worked away, we have got a lot of done, and we are pleased with the results, my arms are pretty scratched now from the nettles and brambles we cleared out, they are so spiteful aren't they, even with gloves they find a way to attack! The evenings are really starting to close in now as we head towards October and autumn again, time flies past.

They do seem to find a way to scratch you even with gloves on. Now that fall is here the days will seem to get shorter so quickly. Before long it will be getting dark around 5pm, I don't really mind the shorter days when accompanied with the fall weather.

This year has gone by so fast. I hope fall goes a little slower b/c it's my favorite time of the year. Already October is here, the weather is cooler and the leaves have started falling. I'll be starting to buy Christmas presents and picking up the stuff for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. I don't do much to usher in and out different seasons though come colder weather I'll bring in my birdbath from the porch or cover it at least and unbox the winter blankets.

Wow!!! good to share the atmospheric conditions at ur place and ur preparations for it...but its very different here in India...we have three seasons here, summer winter and rainy...and its about the end of rainy season. Weather nowadays continue to be warmer here due to less rains...all that pollution, cutting of trees etc has affected it. Now from last 3-4 days here we have started having colder airs blowing. Winters hope will be enjoyable...Good Luck...Keep mylotting !!!

Around here it is a mixture of both. In the mornings, it is starting to feel very cool. Then in the afternoon, it will be warm and sunny.. For the past week, in the afternoon, it has been warm and a little bit of breeze mixed with it.. The weather is changing, I can tell. I woke up this morning with a slight sore throat. So, I know that the weather is indeed changing. I always seem to get an allergy or so when the weather changes..

i stay in germany and even my feeling is a bit like yours. even here there was no good summer and few of the times i also removed my warm blanket at night and just imagine if its summer and me using the blanket.
and nearly from three weeks we are feeling the cold a lot and we have already started using our warm clothing like the jackets and shoes outside and at home too we are wearing the sweaters, warm slippers, and socks. and sometimes i need to on the heaters also and i can never imagine the cold comming so fast this year that too so severe. even i have heard of and i also read here in mylot our other friends had mentioned that there is going to be severe cold and snow when compared to other previous years.
i really hate cold winter as we need to always dress up with warm clothing and even at home and i feel so sad for my small son and also for other kids as they might be facing difficulty in so much of luggage kind of warm clothings.
