In the game of chess, a player must be imaginative and patience can also be tested. I have been playing this game for years and several techniques were developed already.
Chess has 32 pieces in total. The main purpose of the game is to attack the King and effective movements must be made in order for a player to do it.
In my own personal experience, I often use the Horse because it's movements are unpredictable and it's also rare for that piece to be stucked in the middle of the game. I opt to take that as my piece instead of having a bishop in the latter part of the game.
How about you? What is your favorite piece? and Why?

as we all know tht chess is a mind game or a tactical game. in my sense the main aim is not to attack the king , but to weaken the king and destroy the safety barrier. i m a state level player and i love to use my pawns as my strength.
pawns are really the interesting part of a chess board. they look weak, but if one can use them nicely , they even can make the safest ring to protect the king as well as help in attacking the opponent. 8 pawns can fetch u 8 queens theoritically. they can change the course of a game in no time and can change a match situation in a while...
hope my friends here will agree....

I was once in my middle school's chess club and play the game regularly. My favourite pieces are the pawns. I used to neglect them when I was a beginner but as I became better in the game I realise the importance of the placement and structure of the pawns, and begin to find them very interesting. It may not be a very powerful piece alone, but when they work together, they are very strong. Especially when I enter endgames with most of the main firepower (Queen and rooks) lost, traded off or scarificed; a strong pawn chain acting together with the king can be devastating.
Between bishops and knights, I'd prefer bishops over knights due to the better mobility. However it depends a lot on the situation. Open games would favor bishops, closed games where pieces are always stuck will favor knights. As I enjoy playing the endgames more than anything else in chess, the board is usually open and the bishops would be stronger for me than the knights in these situations.

well i play chess from my childhood.i like that game very much because it increases our consciousnesses and mental ability. your brain will get sharper if you play chess. chess is the royal game, means its a battle between brains.my favourite coin is queen, i use queen and my bishops to stop most of opponents movements .without queen we cannot play much attacking moves. knight is good but it will get locked easily if opponent uses his pawn effectively.

Yes, a queen is a powerful piece but I don't really rely on her alone. I believe that in the game of chess everything must be in balance.

I love to play chess. It really needs some brain to be a good player and that's why I love this game.
My favorite pieces are pawns and knights. Be cause in my opinion the one who does the right moves with his pawns at the beginning of the game and puts his knight in the center is the winner of the game.

hi, I also play a lot of chess. I could say that all piece have relative strength, it's how we gonna use them to maximize full potential or proper piece placement at any given time and situation that matters. I prefer two Rooks agains a Queen but then again its really the actual situation on the board dictate, who's really had the edge.

I started playing chess when I was 9. I represented my school when I was 11 (they actually mistook me for someone else. The senior who has the same name as I do has a higher score in the prelim, but I was chosen. It was a big confusion, but I did pretty well in the competition :P). I continued to play until today, though I stopped representing my school at the age of 18. I only managed to achieve 8th or 9th place in my district. I nearly won the 3rd placing having killed the opponent's queen, rook and bishop. But I was daydreaming, and I placed my queen right in front of the king without any cover.
I lost to the small kid (after beating our state champion in previous round). =_=
Anyway, my favorite piece would be rook because it's very easy to play. Second would be knight because of its versatility and mobility.

Love the game and playing.I love the pawn because it is the weakest and strongest piece in them game it can eat in certain ways with an advanced jump and become another piece.
