As I have learned before, our first parents, Adam and Eve were created to live forever. They were not meant to die. But something happened, they broke rules, and as a penalty, they were cursed to die as well as all their offspring. That is why Jesus, the Son of God, was sent to us so whoever have faith to him will be saved from this curse. And I believe that since naturally, do you notice how your hair continuously grows even when you cut it endlessly? Our nails grow just the same. It seems our bodies were created to live forever but there is something in us that make us grow old and get weak. So I believe we were not born to die, it's just that we inherited something that make us die in the long run.

Wow ! What you said was so very insightful and something I didn't even think of when I posted my response to this question.
You're exactly right, and I am thankful that God sent us Jesus that we may continue living after our life on earth.
Very very good response of yours, I think it should be to rated !
You are blessed with knowledge.

Thank you for your very nice comment. I hope others would feel the same way as of having faith with Jesus. Our times is getting harder and harder that's why having faith is really something. But I will still say for those others who are on different faith though they do not believe in Jesus that we were born with reasons, not just to die eventually. It will be to praise the One who created us not only by words but by acting it out.

Hmmm, I don't think that we were born to die, there are lots and lots of reasons why we're here in this world, dying is just the final destination, but it isn't really the purpose of existence.

How sad would it be to be stuck in 1 of the many phases of existance. Just think, if we never progressed passed the phase before this earth life, we never would have been here for you to ask the question.

I think that we are born so that we can enjoy this earth and all it's beauty, as well as the skies above and seas below. I think we are here to love, to learn, laugh and just basically enjoy life.
I believe that life in physical form is a gift that we might enjoy these things that God has created for us.
I don't believe that we actually die, of course I do belive that our bodies die, but I believe that our souls live on.
I think we die just because of our physical make up, we just cant last forever like a piece of machinery , our bodies just age and breakdown eventually if we are 'lucky' enough to die from old age.
Some belive in reincarnation which means you can come back to earth after dying by being born again in a new body, some belive it can be by choice. I am not sure exactly how I feel on this issue but I do think it is possible.
Live, Love, Laugh, enjoy the time on earth, it was made for us and we for it.

Who wants to live forever?
Living on for eternity, seeing the same old people you associate yourself with. Doing the same old thing you did last millennium. It's bound to get boring some time. For that, I'm glad and reassured that I will die some day. Hopefully not for a while yet, though, so I can see my life through to its fullest.
The whole point of being born, and dying? Well - that you have to figure it out yourself. Some people do great things, create larger than life creations, invent world-changing inventions. Others are researching panaceas for all the world's illnesses, and yet others are finding ways to put mankind on other planets.
The people with less glorified jobs like farming are also important - who will feed the scientists? Who will clothe the doctors? The point is to help humanity along to its future - while finding your own place along in that chain.

Thats very true but someone like me worries every day that at some point thats gonna be it the end of my life. Then theres no going back so whats the point? i try to be happy i try to see a point but it doesn't make sense any more. What's the point of being put on this Earth just to die. Oh well its gonna happen someday and then my lifes over. no more me. Who can see the point in that?
