I am one of the American fans.
When I was a small kid, I was crazy about Harvard, MIT and Dartmouth, which were always in my dreams.
Why the most famous universities were in the states? I had wondered... Accordingly, if people asked me weather I wanna go to the states. My answer was "definately".
Besides, I like American accent and American dramas. Also, a cool ride on the ferryboat of Seattle will be fantastic. Additionally, I have dreamed a thousand times that I could lie down on Miami beach to relax.
How do u like America?
Is there something in the states that u are attracted to?

Well...I was born here. It's my only real home...not any one house here, not one city...the land itself is my home. I can't not love this place I few up in.
Nevermind the cultural part of it. It's my home.

-We're a democracy; not communist, not socialist. You can end up the President of the United States if you play your cards right... ;)
-You influence and help choose your leaders...
-We are a free nation - I can open up a business, I can buy a car, I can live out my dreams...
-Free education through high school...
-Excellent infrastructures for water, light, gas, power, etc...
-Generally a happy, friendly people...
-You can choose to be whoever you want to be - Catholic, Methodist, rich, poor, gay, straight, etc...
-Strength - we pulled together more than ever after 9/11 and are still a strong country today...
-Innovation - creating new technology, new research, new concepts, new ideas...
-Independent - for the most part, we (America in general) make our own food, can make our own clothing, create our own jobs, etc. We don't rely on aid much...

That's a pretty good list of all the things it should be. I'm not convinced it's a list of the things it is.
You can end up the President of the United States if you play your cards right.... and have a lot of money/ family connections. Thinking here perhaps of Bushes, Kennedys.
You can choose to be whoever you want to be - Catholic, Methodist, rich, poor, gay, straight, etc... provided you don't live in a state where abortion and homophobia are as-good-as outlawed.
But yes, I'll agree, overall the US does alright.

Well, what I like the most about America is the system of supplies and the system of infrastructure there. I have never visited this country but many of my friends and relatives are there. What I understand is that they never have to worry for the day to day requirements like LPG, Petrol, Electricity, Water, Telephone etc. The system is so nicely settled that even the common man do not have to keep worrying about these things. One can easily concentrate on ones own work and rest assured that one will get all the day to day requirements on one's own door step if one is having money.
So instead of keeping the worries about these little things, one can concentrate on ones own work and try to earn more so that one's own life becomes more comfortable.
Another thing I like about America is that it provides lot of opportunities to all those who deserve. I remember one of my American net friend writting me that " America is really a land of opportunities". If you are prepared to work and if you have capacity of doing better work then you will get better opportunities.
And that matters a lot when a person is out from the college and looking for some good job or good business, the opportuities he or she is looking for are really available just for taking.

Yeah, I guess so . This is the reason that lots of my former classmates further their study in the states. Besides, things there are cheaper than Canada.

If you have enough opportunities to earn a good amount, you would not mind spending on costlier products or if the same products are costing more. Here the earning is more and the products are quite economical. That is double benifit.

Well i like America. Since childhood, I used to know lots of American products..like the movies, foods, cars, famous world presidents (mostly Americans), air ways, apollo, war movies like Rambo. All of this stuffs stucks in my head pretty well until now. Hope some day to visit America..thats the good one.
The bad one about America is the wrong invasion of Vietnam and Iraq. Wrong decision, wrong strategy...this gives America a bad image and impressions

Some American presidents are very famoust in the world. Lincon, Roosevelt, Washington are almost known to all.

But from Europe: Churchill, Napoleon, Mussolini, Hitler, Thatcher, Bismarck, Gladstone, Peel, (Lenin, Stalin). (OK, there's a slight British bias there).
I'm not persuaded the US Presidents you list are so famous. How many non-Americans on here know anything much about Lincoln beyond his name for example?

I came from a tropical country so even though I live here I wish that I live in a warmer place such as California. That's the only thing I like about the US, everything else Canada or Europe is more attractive to me
University wise, there are great universities all over the world
I like both American and English accent although French accent sounds like music to me :)
Hollywood films are cool, but I also love British or foreign films
You can watch foreign films that won Oscar or any kind of awards, they come from all over the world I don't mind subtitles at all, they are really worth watching

I like the United States of America mostly because it is home. There is a saying that goes, "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home." There are other places that I'd like to visit, if I had the money. Since I don't, I'll have to be content to read about other countries in books, and perhaps, learn something from other members of myLot.

But America is a beautiful place to see many wonders and the Some people of America getting bad name to that Beautiful Country. American Government was to make there rule more strict and avoiding kill the people coming from outside America.

I love America, I was born and raised in America.. We are a great country with so many different nationalities making up the whole lot of us.. We are such a diverse lot of persons and most of us get along with each other.. I have never understood why certain people didn't like us.. I know that we have our problems but we keep on trying.. Sometimes we have leaders who are not that great but we just wait around and try again.. We do try over and over, we have our freedoms, freedom to voice our opinion and not get persecuted for it.. We have the opportunity to travel and enjoy some of the best countrysides, sites and sounds, events and so much more.. The possibilities in America are endless and the rewards are plenty.. Everyone isn't rich, not me for one, or I wouldn't be on here, but I am very happy with my life.. America has so much going for it that is would be impossible to list it all on one page of Mylot.. Come on over, we have room for one more.. Have a great day..

A lot of things are nice in the US. I myself would like to go to the US for a couple of years to work or for a couple of months for a vacation. Hopefully soon.
There are a lot of places that I want to go to, not only the US. However, US is a big place and I am sure I will enjoy the beaches, the snow, the weather, the people, etc.
I wish soon.

Born and raised in America so I would have to say I love America I mean come on America is the only place I know where we have over eating contest. We have more freedom than anywhere else and come on we have it easy. People who complain about America should look over seas and see who has it better.
