When you go shopping, do you usually go for stuff (clothes, shoes, etc.) with brands? Is it really necessary to wear stuff with brands?
I have met people who are brand-conscious like they wouldn't even dare to wear anything that isn't branded.
Is branded stuff really a big deal?

No, I am not a branded person. I buy brands only if I see it is worth the price. Sometimes I see them too expensive because they only selling the brand without quality. I don't really into the brands but maybe one day if I got enough money, I would do that, but still, I would like to see the quality more than I see the brand

No I Have never been a brand person, I would rather have a number of cheaper things than one good brand name thing, I think some of thise big brand names put too big a price on their things, i think they are laughing at people.

My mother usually tells me that. It's better spend money on a number of cheaper things than spend the money on one good branded thing.

Yes I know people like that, now my daughter has 2 teenage girls and they wear good clothes, she shops Macy's and Dillards and Khols. But she shops when they have the racks with 80% off. So the girls have nice things but not the price. To me to pay $100. for a blouse or top is stupid, because it has a brand name. I do agree that these clothes at better stores do last longer than a wal mart shirt, but putting out money for something because it has a brand name on it is like trying to either keep up with the jones or to show off. I feel for parents today that sends their kids to school. Tennis shoes for $150. Shirts or blouses for $100. most can not affored these and jeans, if we wore jeans to school we was considered poor trash when I went to school. And then they got big holes in them. I think Brands have ruined the kids of today. They want and want and we try to give them nice things, my daughter ran away from home when she was 14 because I wouldn't buy her a brand name shoe. I had 2 others to dress and a single mom at that time. She now is trying to dress 2 and her a single mom now that her ex doesn't provide but a mere amount to her for child support. Now she knows what it is like and how I struggled to dress them when they were kids.

I'm not very brand conscious. I buy what i like. It doesnt really matter if it's branded or not, or if it's cheap or expensive. I dont think it's necessary to buy or wear branded things especially during these hard times. If you're rich, you can probably afford to buy branded things. But if you're not rich, of course you'd rather use the money to buy food and pay your bills. Branded stuff are not a big deal. They're way too expensive. You can always look around for something cheaper but with good quality.

I give more importance to other factors rather than the brand. The style, the quality, the comfortability and of course the price. With all that considered, I wouldnt care at all if the thing I am buying is branded or not. But we have to admit, almost majority of us crave for signature brands once in awhile. Also, sometimes, the branded ones are the ones with great quality and durability. But I would not spend a fortune just to brag about how my things, clothes, shoes are branded...for me brands are just names.

i love shopping but if the stuff is branded, it has to be on sale. lol! i don't really mind if it's not branded as long as i get something good out of that price. but if the stuff i'm looking for are my favorite like bags and flip flops especially bags, i want it to be branded but not necessarily high end.

there are certain brands I prefer only because I've had good experiences with them, but there are other brands I will use because they may be cheaper, or because the prefered brand might not be available. I do not allow advertizing to influence me into which brands to use and not use.

I dont' care who makes it as long as its cute and I can afford it. I shop at walmart so I really don't care. I guess if I was younger then I would care a bit more but even when I was growing up I didn't care. I do like Arizona jeans b/c they make my butt look good but other then that I dont' care.

I am pretty much, partcial to certain brands when it comes to clothes. There are only a few places I will shop at for my clothes since I am familiar with their product and used to their quality.

Usually I get my outfits stitched from the pet Tailor but some time I want to purchase Jeans of branded names but the standard size is a problem for me. So for jeans I have get the same altered. About appliances I opt for the branded things and not the local assembled articles. I am brand conscious in this matter.

not really. i don't think brands are important. it may make you look rich but it's useless because you spend your money on a single item which is really crazy. i'd rather buy stuff from cheap stalls/boutiques.=D

Hi! I'm not into brands. Though I have a certain level of brand loyalty for consumer goods like soap, shampoo, toothpaste and the like. As for clothes, bags, shoes, watches, I'm not very particular with brands. I actually shy away from them especially when I'm on a budget. Some brands are really very expensive and though it would be nice to have them, it is very impractical. For me, as long as something looks good on me, branded or not, I'll wear it. I have an e-group that recently had a very looooong thread on Louis Vuitton bags. I couldn't relate since I'm not into brands. Then, I found out that each bag costs a throusand dollars or more, I was really shocked. I haven't even spent more than 2,000 pesos (approx. $43) for a bag. I got curious and checked the LV website only to find out that their bags are really not my style and I wouldn't buy them even if I had the money. However, this got me thinking to buy one branded bag. So, yesterday, I bought my first branded bag -- a Guess shoulder bag that costs 1,500 pesos or $32 only. My first branded but still affordable bag. It wasn't bad, it wasn't bad at all. :-)

I buy both. I prefer brand names in some things because they have proven to better quality. Buying brand name things is no problem if you learn how to buy out of season and on clearance racks. I rarely pay full price for brand names.
