post quality on mylot

i'm just wondering, do the quality of your posts (grammar, spelling, content) get better the longer you are here on mylot, or do they actually become worse? i noticed that lately as i've been typing a lot faster and posting more, i realized that some of my replies are not very coherent and that there are more and more typo and grammatical errors on my posts. before i used to reread my post a few times before hitting the post button, but now, i just hit it and then find all the errors after i'd made my post. i think i should correct this and strive for better quality posts.
what about you? do you think your post quality became better or worse the longer you were on mylot?

Well, i have to say that it has become worse. Because just like you i like to be able to post as many discussions as possible and reply to as many discussions as possible. But there are times that i feel inspired and i take time to choose my words and correct my spelling and grammar. I don't usually preview my responses so the only time that i can really check my spelling is while i'm writing my response. But i hope in the future i'll be more careful.

Well, my posting quality is definitely getting better with every post. Though my typing speed has gone down considerably due to the non usage of SMS language, I'm quite happy with my posts. There's a lot of positive difference between this post I'm posting and my first post at myLot.
Infact, I recently realized that I'd started using 'I' in place of 'i' in all my posts - a very good sign for people like me who are lazy to press the shift keys for upper case typing.
All in all, I'm quite pleased to be a part of myLot. Honestly, I've kind of re-gained confidence in my typing as well as writing skills. Surely all other members who've used myLot will share the same feeling.

Thanks for responding! Your comment regarding the capitalization of letters made me consciously capitalize my I's and also the first letter of my sentences. I think I will do this from now on. Hehe! Thanks!

I think my story is same like yours. Even I used to read my posts and correct my mistakes before posting and since I was slow I did not make many typing mistakes. But since I type faster now, I make more mistakes and don't even read it before posting. After posting I realise my mistakes. May be with the speed we need to improve our perfection too and instead of hurrying we should take some time and rectify our errors. Mylot relies a lot on quality and that will help us to earn too. Happy mylotting and have a nice day. This was a good discussion you started.

yes it happens sometimes that we make mistakes but i just correct it at the same time and then proceed but i know then too there might be a few mistakes as we need to just think and write and we cant just concentrate on both that is writing and also the the ideas. may be due to this we make mistakes but i think its ok as far as we dont do it purposely and also we just try to be right everytime.

I found like you that my typing got faster but I am making more errors and don't come out sounding as good as I used to . I try to get everything down so fast before I lose my train of thought and then when I go back and see what I have down , I notice it doesn't sound right or I didn't explain it the way I should have and I have so many errors now .
I even had one person answer a discussion I started and though that English was my second language , English is the only language I speak :) So I would have to say I am getting worse the longer I am on here :)

Haha, so we must make it a goal to try and improve our post quality. Aside from the fact that more posts = more credits earned, just like you, I also try to type as fast as I can so as not to lose my train of thought. When I do lose it, it takes so much longer to finish up with a post, that sometimes I just give it up and move on to answering other topics.

I think there's no general trend. It really depends on the person. In my case, I started posting quality articles. I made sure the length was long enough and that I was able to put in enough details. And then I started becoming a bit lazy so I just wrote whatever. I even had a writer's block for a few months where I didn't even post any discussion! Now I'm back to posting the good stuff.:)

I guess what you will acquire here is the ability to type more in less time and you also become a fast reader.
I enhanced my touch typing in here. I rarely look at the keyboard now.
In terms of errors, I think it has not improved, but it has not become worse.
Have a nice day!

Well, though I have done more postings that you, I don't think I have stayed a long in myLot. My quality of postings I think is the same as earlier except I have got the rythem in myLot to do more postings.

Yeah. Before, I always read and check my posts for grammatical and typo errors. But then I realize that I'm using too much time doing that and could post more responses if I speed up my posting procedure.
So then I started posting responses and remove the checking and reading part. But then I realized that my grammatical and english skills will not improve that way. Which is one of my goals besides earning. Although my typing skills are improving that way. Lol.
So then I decided to start posting quality post. You get paid more with every quality post you make, you improve your grammatical and english skills (english is just my second language) and improve your typing skills (that is if your implementing one - using ten fingers). You earn more and learn more!

Yeah, I'm always thinking, more posts mean more credits so I tend to want to make as much posts as I can in the least amount of time. But because I try to post faster, reviewing takes a back seat, thus giving way to more errors.

it is a nice thing that we find our faults by ourselves.i believes that there might be lots of mistakes while typing fastly.but as we post more and more on my lot we are gaining more composition skills in english and posting quality also increases.
