Grammy (grandmother like the awards, lol) again for the 5th time. Cole Ryan was born last evening at suppertime. Weighing 7 lbs 4 oz,he is the smallest birth weight baby yet in the famlily, but likely will grow up to to be the biggest. Uually the way it goes. He was two and a half weeks early, because mom has gall stones and the doctor will likely be removing her gall bladder today. It was an extremely painful pregnancy for her and I am glad he is finally born and they will be fine. She is only 24. He is her 4th baby. She now has 3 boys and a girl, born when she was 16, 18, 21 and now 24. Yep they all have the same dad too. Rare these days, I know! I am only 51 years myself. Now I have 1 grandchild for each decade it seems. I have her 3 other kids here for a few days, so I am one tired grammy, but so thankful all are ok!Just wanted to share this with you all...

Congratulations Grammy. I bet the baby is beautiful and you enjoy the rest of her brood.
I am going to be a Granny for the first time in February which am sure you are aware of. I am 49 and hubby is 53. We both are so excited we cannot wait.
Good luck to the mom on her surgery.
Is she planning on having any more children? I do not know how some people do it. I loved my children but two was all I could handle. Kudoos to her and the dad.

Congrats on your impending grandparenthood. It truly is a wonderful thing. Nope I think this is her 4th and last. Daddy has had a little snip snip!!!!

Since I had to have a repeat C-section with my second one I was the one who got snipped. I was only 22 and know I could not take care of anymore children. I also knew if we waited until later to do some type of permanent birth control I would be the one who would have to stop what I was doing to have the baby not HIM.
I got pregnant right out of high school and married so I did not want to be in college some day and find out "Oh no I am pregnant." I did that at the age of 18 I did not want to repeat my mistakes.
I often yearned for more babies, but that is the mother part of me. I just did not want to raise it. heehee.
I ended up going to college to become a Registered Nurse and worked for 20 years at the same hospital. I am glad I got snipped when I did.

Congrats! I am a grandma too - of 2 beautiful little girls! IT isjust the best! I was wondering what kept you out of the GH loop lately! Missed our chats! Today is the next "baby" you will have with GH having the Liason all time hitter today! I know you'll be loving that too! Way to go grammy! I am Nanny to mine!

Thanks coffeebreak. I have missed out GH chats too. Just been so worried about my daughter. Now they have her on a new antibiotic. If her bloodwork is fine in the morning, she and baby are going home to wait out thee six weeks until the can do the lapriscopy and pull the gall bladder out. If the anti biotic doesn't work, they will have to do open surgery. Keep your fingers crossed for the anti biotic. I will be back posting about GH if she does go home tomorrow. EEEEE Liason want to go to Italy together. Loved the history mentions for them today today and loving that Spinelli is such a huge fan as well,lol.

Yeah, that was pretty nice to get to go to Italy! SHould be iteresting--- but did you catch that Max is also in Italy at the moment - something about their father, but odd its the same place as Jason is going - bet they'll bump into each other!!!
And wasn't that cute of Spenilli to do his victory dance when Jason turned Diane down. But good grief, all he had to do was push his meeting with liz back an hour or two!! But we'll see - there's always a reason!

I love the name Cole Ryan. Is she an ABC soap fan too? When the kids finally go home, enjoy your well-deserved rest.

Hey thanks, Trace. Kids just left and can't wait to climb into my bed tonight. Yep my daughter was raised on General Hospital, but doesn't watch any others. She and hubby just decided on the name about an hour before he was born. He is not named after anyone in particular.
