Do you want to have own manga? Why not a book? What is the plot?

I was about to write a short story about an angel (not ordinary, tho, won't say anything about a plot yet ^^) and it turned out to be 90 pages long and I'm not even halfway. After that... I decided to have own manga or anime. I have everything done in my mind, I just don't have time because of school and additional things... :( I thought about it when I read manga "Yami no Matusei" and "Angels Sanctuary". It all would make a nice book, but manga just put life into characters... I left writing and hopefully in June I'll start for good. I have a lot of sketches, but cannot do more without time. Anyone ever tried to write/draw his or her own manga? why not comics with normal lines? Or you prefer to write things and leave drawing only to "professional"?

You could do it for "recreational" purposes, but you'll find it difficult finding a publisher. But then if you could do it, then please do. I have a friend who is in college right now and she left the manga realm simply because the practice of doing the comics the "japanese" way is not a good practice in the field of multimedia arts and stuff. But then before she created like 5 books already, full written manga with drawings and stuff, but not colored. I haven't tried and probably won't, simply because I lack the talent for drawing. I wish you luck my friend, and if ever let me have a copy of it. Good luck and have a nice day. BTW, if by professional you meant paid service, please just do it on your own. It's not that fulfilling if you let others do your stuff, it's better if you can. I won't probably, if I wrote a story I'll just left it being a novel and just leave the "life" to the reader's imagination.

Well... If I'll make a manga I would love to publish it in the internet :) I don't really care for money of anything and if it's for free I hope to find more fans :) I'm still working on the minor things with plot, my friends said it's good idea. And by professionals I meant those who acutally released their mangas, like Kaori Yuuki etc. Those who work like that :)

Wow, that's huge. I mean, real manga writers? That's...I don't know. I leave everything to them and just read their stuff. hehe. Anyways I'll love to see that, another online manga to spend some time on eh?! Good luck, and it's a pretty neat idea, you will be famous for that, even if you don't want to heehee. Have a nice day.

After reading a lot f manga, its impossible to not start creating one yourself if you have the skills. I've created 3 or 4 books, but had to leave them halfway. The plots are whatever comes to my mind at the time. I used to be an author, but after reading manga, i found words are just nt enough to express oneself. When i shifted to manga, i found myself wanting to make animation, but i lack the skills for that one. Well, the pros do it great, but after you've read the best of them, you'll want to create one or two yourself.

well, my drawing skills are way off, i was never comfortable with drawing pictures, more still life for me and even that in my opinion was okay. me, i'd probably work with people because i like stories. i probably need to do more research while creating it but nonetheless its better the drawing it out. for manga even though the drawings are important, the storyline should always be the first thing. i've read manga in which it was based of an original novel which turned into a manga that turned into an anime. honestly, i've thought of a storyline but its probably not all that good. i can only get bits and pieces out and i can't place it together, not even a character name. hey, this story may even mirror some other stories. sometimes i'm way too influenced by my surroundings. but i thought of of a girl (probably around 17 at the start) who is the only known survivor of an attack on her village, taken in by monks from a local monastery. of course, she would have powers, simply put she can see into ones mind and have telekinesis powers and she would have little to no memory of her past since she was only around 3 at the time. eventually she moves away from the monastery trying to figure out who attacked her village, but not after mastering martial arts which were taught to her by the monks. i'm not sure what to do in between, but she works to evolve her power to a point where she can easily deflect things and place up a make shirt barrier. anyway, the story ends up she mets a guy with the same, but stronger, powers as her who is...well, evil. she find out that this person is her older brother who tried to save her but in the end was taken by the people who attacked her village as was turned evil. they have an epic battle but i still don't know who wins.
