Annoyances

So I noticed something today. Someone online asked me what was wrong and I explained that my child is sick and we can't get him his meds right now. So this person says "Sorry. Wish I could help." Now in this whole conversation not once did I ask for his help. Why is it that people automatically assume you want their help when you don't even ask? It actually kind of annoys me. There's a difference between asking for help and just explaining to a person what's wrong. I remember when I could complain and someone would say "wow that sucks. Is there something I could do." Or they just listen. Now they ASSUME you want their help.
Another thing that annoys me is how ignorant people are these days. My husband holds the door open for me at the post office (because I can't hold the door and push a baby stroller through) and then 8 people push past me to get through. It's very rude.
What annoys you about people these days? Just want to know. Random discussion of the day. lol

I guess you are an exception :) People usually want the sympathy of the other person... It makes them feel better when someone offers help, whether actually required or not. In fact it makes them feel a lot better to note that someone, from somewhere has concern for you...

I suppose. It's just that it's also not the first time he's said this. He assumes that because I complain about not being able to afford something that I want his help specifically. He's odd. lol
