I didn't know much about Global Warming till as recent as a year ago.
I read a very informative article on it in our local newspaper. I was really worried. Glaciers are melting, overall temperature is increasing, level of Sea rising.
Does it not bother you all?
It bothers me. May be I won't be alive till this actually happens, but I feel that its our moral responsibility to ensure next generations safety.
Very simple methods like saving power, saving water, reduce use of plastic,
usage of public transport, cut down on non-veg and subsequent carbon emission are going to help this cause.
We as individuals can definitely make a difference. We should not be depending upon the local government to impose laws for this cause.
Lets plant more and more trees, save environment and avoid global warming.

I am glad that you are now doing something to help.Everyone has to do their bit to try to stop things from getting worse. We must try to recycle as much as we can and not buy things we do not need. I have written an article on the subject if you are interested you will find it on http://hubpages.com/Global-Warming-Can-We-Stop-The-Damage

It definitely bothers me a lot too! Recently, my English teacher popped in a VCD of some guy giving a speech about global warming and about how the Earth's temperature will increase drastically over the next 50 years. At that moment, I realized that all this global warming stuff was not a joke and that something needs to be done. Everyone should play their part in maintaining the temperature on Earth.
It's not easy to do it alone. We need help and the others should help because they are living here on Earth too. We have to think of the future generation. Do you want your kids to live in an extremely hot world? It'd be absolutely terrible! The weather's quite warm nowadays and we sweat easily. Imagine 50 years later when the temperature will go up, up, and up.
I totally agree with you about saving water, power and recycling. Unfortunately, I notice people who like to waste water because water is quite cheap. And using electricity too! We also need to stop cutting down trees to build useless buildings.

I get kind of mad about global warming and the things we can do. Doing stuff as easy as taking a shorter route to work or doing all of your errends in one trips and there are people out there who reufse to do a thing. It is annoying as Hades.

Is that all you read about it, one newspaper article? I think you should read a book called THE POLITICALLY INCORRECT GUIDE TO GLOBAL WARMING AND ENVIRONMENTALISM before you get to deep into this whole global warming movement. The book tells about how the "global warming crisis" is not quite what it's made out to be. It tells about how politicians, world leaders, environmentalists, businessmen, and other so-called climate change "experts" have many believing in a world crisis that simply doesn't exist. Suggestion is a powerful tool and it's a tool that many proponents of global warming have used to persuade many people to support a cause that's based more on global governance than on saving the planet. The book also names other books that the global warming alarmists would prefer you didn't read. Everyone worried about global warming should definitely read this book.

Ever since I watched Al Gore's movie, An Inconvenient Truth, I've been getting really worried about Global Warming and it's effects. I've been trying to help out by cutting down on my electricity and water consumption. I try my best not to use plastic bag and other non-biodegradable materials but if I can't, I make sure I re-use them. I make sure the emission of my car is clean all the time. I can't stand smoke belchers. You should watch Al Gore's movie to get even more information on Global Warming.

We're pretty much forced to do something, or our world won't be habitable for much longer! We MUST get it straight, or our descendents won't have a planet that can sustain them.

We MUST do something to reverse the effects of global warming. It is not a matter of should we do something. The issue is WHAT are we going to do...

yeah. i think everyone should try to do their part to save the earth. how do you think it got like this in the first place? negligent people who don't care. we are paying for water now. i remember when water was free. what is next that we have to pay for? paying to pee in a public bathroom like in europe?

It do bother me, a lot. I believe that the weather nowadays are much more hotter than I was small. It scared me , and what i can do is to keep reuse many things that i can use. I believe that there should be a drastic and strong rule to let people aware of this matter, so we can keep our planet useful for the next generation.

Good that you are finally aware of this and very concerned. I've been very much concerned about the environment since highschool when i had a research project about global warming, the green house effect and the depletion of the ozone layer. Yes, it's true that every living creature on earth is affected. And it's sad to know that it's us humans who are very big contributors to Global warming. It's here already, we can not avoid it anymore. What we can do is to heal mother earth by doing what you have suggested. Another thing that would help: dont use plastic bags when shopping. Use paper bags instead. And please do not burn plastics and styro. It destroys our ozone layer.
