Celebrating on wedding anniversaries

[i][b]Today, 25th of September, My husband and I are celebrating our 11th year wedding anniversary. I remember the day, that I say I do to my husband. It's a very simple civil wedding. Simple but very solemn. We exchanged our vows with only the judge and our parents around. We wanted to have a church wedding but we were not financially stable then. It's really a great feeling. I think it's one of the most wonderful thing that had happened to me aside from having 3 wonderful kids. Though I'm not with my husband now, because he has to work abroad, we managed to celebrate it today through the internet. Yes, he called me at skype and for the first time, he was the first one to greet me first. LOL. Those 11 years of being husband and wife, we've been through so many trials, arguments but the best thing is, we managed to surpass all of these. Happiness overcomed all of these hardships. I'm really glad that God gave me a wonderful husband. I hope or rather I assure that I will be with him till the day I die. He was my first and definitely my last love.

That just sounds like the perfect marriage.. ever I swear! Congratulations on having such a sweet husband a such a wonderful marriage!! 
I sure envy you for it as it is today is my 14th month anniversary with my boyfriend. But he does not care enough to celebrate it with me even though I had travelled 12 hours to come to Perak to find him, and had taken 2 off days from work just to spend time with him! All comes to a waste 
. As you can tell, I spend the entire 14th month anniversary in a cybercafe chatting with my friends even though I am in his hometown. And his excuse? His family is at his home. Big deal, I mean he gets to see his family everyday, but see me only once a month, and some more this is supposedly a 'special' day for us. Apparantly not! I am just insignificant. Lol.
I envy you for having a wonderful husband who will still wish you even though he's overseas and not physically by your side. I sure wish I had met this sort of guy in my life.. at least someone who will treasure me just as how your husband treasures you.
Treasure him well, my girl as he's all but a rare gem in this over ridden ocean of scums! Well take care! (I know I am not answering your discussions, but I am in a rather foul mood today. For that I apologise)

Dun feel too bad about your bf.. INstead he should be the one to feel bad and he should be the guilty one okie?? DUn let this thing affect your mood, it's not worth it.. What's more it's been 14months, cherish the relationship well ^_^ TAlk to him and let him know.. Because some guys will tend to take a relationship for granted after some time, and they know that no matter what wrong they have done, the gf will surely forgive..
SO be sure to make your point clear to him, and that he understands it ^_^

Very well said kun. And to you angelia. I suggest that you talk to him. Tell him what you feel. So he will know that you are hurting inside. Cheer up dear. If he doesn't listen to you then I guess he's not the right one. You'll still find a more better person who will give all his love for you. Take care! HUGZ!

11 yrs is not a short time, and i believe it's not that easy for u two too ^_^ BUt it's all in the past and what matters most is that u love him and he loves u too ^_^ As long as the love is there, nothing can bring u and him apart ^_^

MY husband and I were married for less than a year from this date but we've been dating 2 years!
I am very glad with my decision and glad that we become one, He makes me so happy and my Family although it's not really a smooth sailing but we were able to manage to handle tough times in marriage and I am sure that we are always ready for whatever obstacles we are going to have in the coming years![/i]

Hi mimpi. If he's with me right now, we'll probably have to go on a date. But he's in Canada right now so that really is impossible. We talked over at Skype awhile ago. He sent me SMS before doing that. We greeted each other at exactly 12 am. Well, we usually do that. lol. HUGZ!

That is great to hear. I hope you both had a nice one. My anniversary of 13 years was back in July. Life gives us alot of challenges daily, mothly and yearly. you just have to work together to make sure it lasts.

Congrat on your 11th anniversary, and I hope you see more years of these happy days. Not too many people make it to their 5th anniversary. I'm happy rght now, we're are going into our 18th in Jan 26 09. Believe me I understand about having all the ups and downs. As you said we gets over them and continue on. Don't get me wrong, we have had many wonderful days. I hope that they get better. Again congrats to you and your husband.

My friend, I'm so happy for you. Celebrating a wedding anniversary is one important occassion for married couples. Congratulations and I wish your marriage continue to get stronger and sweeter. It's hard to be away from a spouse. It's a sacrifice I supposed. But I'm happy you remain faithful to each other despite the trials. That is very normal... a marriage really passes through storms but it's a great feeling to survive through all those storms and remain steadfast in your love with each other. My sincere prayer that you continue the love growing and hope that you join him soon.
I celebrated with my hubby our 23rd wedding anniversary last June 9. Like you we also have had trials and ups and downs. But with God's grace our marriage remains strong and hopefully for life.

Wow, 23 yrs and I'm sure still getting stronger. Congratulations to you too. We've always put God at the center of our relationship, even before we got married. And I know that's the reason why we're still together till now. We've encountered some differences lately but I guess that's a part of the sacrifice of being away with each other. My girlfriend and I have been friends for three years before we get into the relationship. And now, this November, we will celebrate our fourth anniversary.
I am very happy with her. And I feel and I believe she will be my first and last. I think what keeps us together is the strong foundation of friendship that we have.

Well, Congratulations and I wish you many more to come.A wedding doesn't have to have all the trimmings to make it special. Me and my husband were married in the sheriffs office by the Magistrate with just my parents and my brother and his girlfriend as witnesses. I have been married 17 years this year. As long as you have love the main ingredient you don't really need the extra trimmings. They are nice to have and maybe some feel that it makes their special wedding day alot more special but I was always for the more simple things. We didn't have alot of money for a wedding either, but we were just fine with what we had.

you've been through a lot but you simple made it! on our first year of marriage, we did lots of adjustments! its really difference when you are in a gf/bf relationship but when you are both in a same house, same bed,everything changes. But we will be celebrating our 4th year this Oct 16 and i never been happier... we learned a lot from each other and those petty LQ's are just natural. The more important thing is that you love each other and you put God in the center of your relationship.
