Well not exactly like babies but younger then they are. I have a 4 year old and I am so scared to let her go outside by herself. All the other neighborhood kids run around outside by themselves. I am the only one that is outside with her. I am the only one that has my child on a everyday bedtime, even on weekends when there is no school. I just don't feel like she is ready to be out by herself. All of the time I hear on the news that people trying to kidnap kids.

I hear you. I have a 5 year old and all the kids on the street are out by themselves. I will not let her go out by herself. Plus the kids take off down the road and run around the block. I let her in the back yard by herself to play on the swingset but other then that, I feel that people that let their kids run around with no supervision shouldn't be parents. It's not right for a child at that age. Don't worry, I'm exactly like you. At least there's another parent in this world that cares about their children.

I'm just like you. I wont let my daughter go out by herself. You have all these people doing things to children now a days its just sick. I don't trust to just let my daughter out side by herself. For so many reasons. Like she's still so little. I'd be afraid of he walking into the street. One because people speed up and down my street all the time. Even letting her just out playing out with other kids on the street worries me. Most of them are so bad. This boy on my niece's bus has some kind of disease from his family not having running water and he decided because he has it that it would be funny to try to kiss my niece.
