Well here in the cities the colors of fall are starting to show. This is my Red maple yree in my front yard. The leaves are getting a deep red now. many have started to fall onto the lawn. More compost material as weell with all the leaves. I plan on making a trip north to view some deep co;lors soon too. Do you take trips just to see the fall colors in your area? Are the leaves turning quicker than normal in your area? They are here in Southern Minnesota. About 40 miles north of here they will be magnificent soon. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I actually don't have to go very far to see some awesome fall colors. I only have to go a few blocks into the historic downtown area where I live and they have some maple trees and many other varieties that turn so many different wonderful colors. I wish I had some of those in my yard, but no such luck. I get to deal with the neighbor's pecan trees that are along our entire fence that seem to drop branches more than leaves. LOL

Oh, I just love fall colors starting to show, Grandpa Bob. I would have to drive pretty far to see any real beautiful fall colors from my area. But every other year or so we plan a trip up north during the fall to enjoy this amazement of nature. I envy you. Send pictures, please, please.

My leaves have turned......and I do take a trip to Wisconsin in the fall and travel up the river to see the beautiful colors....Some of my leaves are actually gone....they say with the drought conditions we have around here that the trees are suffering and losing their leaves early....I love Red Maples.....

Nope, we are still very green here..And with the price of fuel we don't make a special trip out to look at fall colors, but being in the country, sometimes running our necessary errands, we do see beautiful colors..I think we still have another month or 2 before we get the vibrant colors..

We have had leaves changing colors for a few weeks actually. The sunshine and cool nights sped up the process a lot. But it is beautiful none the less. Some trees have a patch of color in the middle of the trees even due to this. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I wish we could enjoy some fall colors here. I have seen the occasional leaves but mostly the leaves are brown from the drought. My yard is full of leaves, all brown and dry. Really sad, because it normally looks so nice when the leaves turn colors. I'm glad you get to enjoy it.

The only colors we're seeing is the brown as trees are dying from lack of rain!

Even way down here in south Texas the leaves are starting to change colors some. We would have to travel a long way to see the beautiful colors of fall. I sure do miss that down here. The trees around here that their leaves fall usually in december they will be bare.

The leaves are just hanging there not doing much. Yours is very beautiful. The temp. actually got down to 53degrees last night (which has nothing what-so-ever to do with yiur discussion) and only hit around 84 today, I am so greatful that i had to tell someone

Hi Grandpa Bob, I live in NY and the colors are changing here to. In fact the leaves are kind of falling off the trees already. I think they sort of skipped the changing color step in some cases. If you go further upstate from where I live that's where you really see the beautiful colors against the mountains and the scenery is just breathtaking. We have alot of beautiful countryside here in NY. There's alot to see depending on what part of the state you are in. Fall is beautiful no matter where you are. It's one of my favorite times of the year. You can go apple picking, pumpkin picking and then of course you can go christmas tree shopping in another few months from now!

I love autumn and am a very big fan of fall colors. It seems that the trees are changing a bit early this year. My burning bush is getting a lot of red leaves on top which normally doesn't happen for a couple of weeks. I've noticed a lot of changing along the interstate heading east. I think I'll be grabbing my camera and taking a drive before much longer searching for some beautiful fall shots.

This is absolute my favorite time of the year. I do get out to see the leaves changing. Unfortunately it seems they fall off way too soon. The cooler temperatures and the beauty of the season makes me wish fall lasted a little longer than it does.

Here in California we do not have fall for a month or two. We are still in the 90's today it is suppose to be 98 which is above normal and hot. The humidity is up and I am not use to that. My trees are still green as ever.

I haven't seen anything from you for a few days, so maybe you're traveling to see the leaves or enjoying that beautiful new granddaughter! I don't travel to see the leaves, they are spectacular where I am. There are trees all around me, up and down the streets, all kinds and sizes and I get a great show in the fall. One behind my house started turning red a few weeks ago, it's a maple tree.

Pink Tree...Fall colors - I took this picture of this tree last year. The quality of the picture isn't great because I took it with my camera phone. Now that I have a new digital camera, I look forward to being able to take better quality pictures of the beautifully firey fall colors that always capture my attention each year.
I do love the fall colors but, they aren't changing here in Georgia yet. Everything is still green around here. I don't take special trips to see them either because, when they change here, there are plenty of trees to see. There are a few trees that I pass in my daily life that I always count on to shock me with how very vibrant and beautiful they get. I will include a picture of one of them. I intend to take better pictures now that I have my own digital camera. I look forward to the pictures of some of the trees that I can take now with that camera. But, for now, I hope you enjoy this one.

Yes, I like to look at the fall colors, there is a place in the southern part of Oklahoma that everybody likes to drive to and see all the fall colors and the trees all changing, its beautiful, sometimes in the fall we drive down there. Right now tho, where I live everything is still green, we've had alot of rain this summer, so everything is still green and luscious.
