Does reaching 1st payout increase your earnings?

It seems like Im earning much quicker than before I made it to my first payout and I am beginning to think this. I do not write anymore than I did before and actually Im taking more breaks lately where as before I made an effort to write for at least two hours a day. Did your earnings increase after 1st payout? My star rating is down too where before payout I had a 10 so that cant be why. I have been writing more one liners than I used to where as before I used to always include at least four sentences. Could it be Mylot's revenue is increasing?

not sure either how it really works here, although the algorithm in earnings ain't that clear. you had a very keen observation out there but you think myLot would increase the earnings potential here even their revenue increases? one thing that i observe when i got my first payment, it would be easy now to get passed $10 minimum every month. right now, i am qualified already and that was 2 days ago and i didn't have to work so hard to get reach that, unlike in the previous month. i think it is more on when you get the hang of the site that you knew already how to deal things around. some factors might be, response to your previous discussions or your refs. and speaking of star, i had 10 3 days ago with a reputation of 97/100 but now, i only had 8 with 84/100 reputation. another drop of it when i posted something about reputation and all that. careless about it, it is just nothing!! i believe so.

yea star rating is the talk of the town but thankfully there is measures to ensure your earnings which is always good to know. I have wanted to check out websites that pay you to write articles but I enjoy mylot and since its easier now to earn I think I just will put that effort here for a little longer before I branch out

lem'me know when you re ready to venture out, coz i know some sites that had good reputation in paying you to write and submit articles. in fact, there was this site that i am right now and it's about writing review for products and make at least 150 words to earn $1 per review and you can also earn through referrals. it's actually a nice and reputable site. and i already earned at least $17 in just 4 days. not bad at all, eyt?

I thought the smaller the number in the star was, the better your rating was?

In all fairness, I have recently thought just the opposite. Although where I was very active on this site at one time, I do not participate even a quarter of what I used to. Regardless, when I have spent anytime of length in a day, my earnings seem to be minute compared to what they have been in the past. It has literally taken me 2-3 months to come even close to payout.

I stopped trying to second guess mylot a long time ago in regard to their payment methods. I could never seem to make sense of it. I've learned to be grateful for anything I earn, because previous to this site, no one else was offering a dime to have a conversation with or be a friend to someone else.

hmm, maybe star ratings do count more than I thought. I know, haven't seen you around lately. I found myself exhausted at one point this month and thought I was going to take another month off from here like I did before but my classes ended the end of August so I can handle the exhaustion for now. I definately find myself perplexed by mylot earnings and mylot doesnt seem to want people to know exactly how it works, but you learn much talking to members--

your right, but you know I did see a banner today one someones page for a sight claiming to be the a social networking that paid for you to talk, but I forget the name but the banner caught my attention even though I didnt go there. I think attending to two sites like mylot would be very hard to do.

I cannot answer this because I have not reached my first payout yet. It would make sense though that if you get the payout and they see that you are an active member they would start increasing your earnings. That would be a nice thing. I can't wait to reach payout and then see what happens from there.

I think it seems easier and quicker once you have reached payout for the first time. By then you will be used to posting on the site and enjoying participation. You will have built up a good friends list and have many interests added.
I reach payout every month, and I don't have to make much effort to do so, other than my normal posting every day. It's not about numbers. If I only posted one line responses I don't think I would see my earnings rise at all. I would certainly not earn enough to reach payout. I don't respond to discussions which only require a brief response.
I take time to find interesting discussions and I only respond when I think I have something to add to the topic. I am never aware of how many responses I write, or of how much I write in them every day.

I wouldn't think making 1st payout would increase your earnings; maybe you're making more quality posts now

oh thats one thing i have always did is write quality post and even on my down days I used to try and write at least four lines but i just like to write so that was never a problem but I do agree with others in that when you reach first payout your more familiar with making your way around and what interests you (I think the "my interest" tab is genius). And where I only had a few friends I stuck to now I like to branch out and that definately helps all part of becoming a regular i guess

Cool.. I do think when you get the 1st payout, that gives you more motivation in a way.
The 'my interests' tab is great.. a time saver when looking for those to respond to after I have exhausted the 'friends started'

Hello, I think as you post more and more you'll have better ratings. Like in order to reach your first payout you had to work for a star. After that you can be a perfect 10 and I think it somehow adds to your earnings. Someone once told me that the first week in mylot would be the slowest and in my case it's very true. I'm glad I don't have to go through that again.:)

see i cant tell you for sure because I didnt pay as much attention to my ratings and earnings, I just assumed I was earning more becuase I was posting more, certainly felt like it. My rating has been a 10 from the month after I joined until a month ago. A good day for me before payout was earning 60 cents and thats what I always came out with each day but keep in mind it took all day mylotting to earn that.

how long did it take? I just stumbled into mylot literally while doing a search and never looked back and it reminded so much of the old chatting days (before instant messengers)

well, i just have signed up two or three weeks ago only..but i have started to activate myself on less than a week.. i'm still kinda of lazy to post for more than 2 hours as you used to do..it is kinda of tiring although i'll try to do some...
but it actually sounds encouraging to me:)

and see thats why It feels quicker to earn for me because I feel like it took soo long to reach payout the first time WHILE others were telling me they made it every month (older members) and I just might very well too. My bf was getting on me about spending hours on the computer when he was home so now its not necessary

i have been taking part in this site for the last 2 weeks and i haven't received any payment yet. i don't know exactly how it works but it will be really a good thing that after the first payment you receive more money. I really like my lot and i really look forward for my first payment. sorry i couldn't help you

Well there is good parts of being new other than first payout like reaching 500 posts where you can copy and paste some things. I liked that since I often ran into errors certain days and lost my posts before I could hit the send button or my daughter would hit a button and it would go poof. Thats also a good milestone because you can earn more for posting pictures to actual responses

I havent reached my payout so far as i dont make it at the end of the month so it goes on like this and i skipped 3 month at the end of the earnings and im pretty sure this month hopefully i would reach my first payout and what you say is something new here in mylot how will the first payment will induce the earning rate?? and yes since even i made many one liner instead of writting 6 to 10 lines which i do usually my rating has got done initially i was 95 for 100 and now it is just 87 !!!

I'm not really sure as I'm yet to reach my first payout. I joined about a week or so ago and took a few days of to see my boyfriend but my earnings increased slightly to what I remembered I earnt, lol. I must have been on here randomly at some point and not even thought about it.
It would be nice if the earnings went up and it became easier!

I would really like to experience the same but am still new here at mylot, and yet to see more in terms of earning and trends of how you earn, but definitely am keeping track of how I spend time here at mylot and this will also enable to determine the output
