Me,i don't..i never wanted to be immortal..being immortal is such a sad and painful experience..seeing all the persons you love die one by one..attending their funeral, their burial..and besides you will never find peace..for, only in after life we can experience the true meaning of peace..but i think selfish and greedy people would like to be immortal..persons who doesn't care about other persons beside theirselves..greedy persons who always wanted to have all the material treasures in these world.. how about you do you want to be immortal?? why??

I have to disagree that it is only about greed and money first of all. I could be immortal and be happy and it wouldnt be about the money and such. I would be there for my future family over and over, to help them and such. Could you imagine, seeing all the new inventions and to watch how things change?! I also think that I would never get bored as some think they would. There is so much I would like to do that I honestly dont think I will have the time to do it all before I die. So yes I wouldnt mind being immortal, I would be there for my future generations and get to do things that I wont be able to before I die. Would there be grief? Of course there would be, I have watched many of my loved ones die already but I do think that the good would outweigh the bad.

Er...no. A longer life than regular people sure to give me more time to learn and do things, help people, but I don't want to live forever. Forever's an awfully long time, and it'd probably teach me the meaning of boredom...which is something I've never understood. Because eventually, you'll run out of things to learn, to do, to live...and then what? There'd be no end to it!

I made a similar discussion, and my answer is no because all of your friends and family would get old and die while you still remain young I dont think living forever is much fun unless everyone could live forever and if they could live forever the world would become over populated.

It's not exactly that painfull, if you are immortal why aren't other people going to be too? Maybe if evryone is immortal, you wont have to see people you love dying, right? Of course i would love to be, like a lot of other people surely does.. but not if other people is not.

I would love to be immortal. Yes you would see your friends and family members die...but you would be around to help future generations....your childrens childrens childrens. You would be able to see future inventions....you would be able to accomplish everything you desired too..where as you might run out of time to do it all in one life.

I don't want to be. I don't want to see everyone that i love die right infront of me. That's the main reason for me.

I don't think it is necessarily greedy to want to be immortal. I would be curious about it but, I do agree that if your loved ones weren't immortal too than you would have to deal with watching everyone you know and love grow old and pass away. But, with immortality, you would have all the time in the world to pursue your dreams and your interests. You would have limitless possibilities. Go everywhere you want to go in the world because time wouldn't be a factor. I wouldn't want to be immortal to gain the spoils of money in life. If I wanted to be immortal, it would be simply to have enough time to do everything and anything I wanted to without worry of running out of time. I am also afraid of getting old and losing my strength and mobility as well as being afraid to die. Not that all elderly people lose their mobility and strength. It is just one of my phobias.

I would be immortal only if my beloved is immortal too.

At this point I would like to be immortal. One of my biggest fears is that I might die before my kids are grown and not be around to raise them. So being immortal would bring a bit of comfort for a while. But I am sure that my mind would change once my children were to die.

being an immortal is not a good thing for me. i never think of existing here in earth and seeing all the things get worse. i don't want to be an immortal. i don't want my whole life to be miserable. but we have an immortal life-in heaven

Hey,I wangt to say is that we are not inmortal.Perhaps heard about this, you feel that this discussion should over.Immortality is not possible, but it is hoped to extend his life until the end of his hopes. So when people end their lives is hope and satisfaction of this?

i definitely wont like to be immortal seeing the love of my life die before my eyes would be the most painful thing but if i get some kind of a way in which i become immortal and make others immortal too i would love to do it and make all my dear ones immortal and enjoy life

Well, I don't. I mean, what's the point of being immortal anyway? The longer you live, the more you ask about yourselves and the purpose of living. If life is short, then you will find the joy of being alive.
