last Friday, one of my officemates heard the song i was playing in the computer and he noticed that it was playing over and over again. he asked why i was listening to just one song over and over again. i said because i like the song so much. another officemate said to him that i'm always like that when i like a particular song on a particular day or week. i was surprised that someone had noticed that of me. and then when he heard the lyrics of the song, he understood immediately why i was playing it over and over again. he knows my lovelife and he realized i could very well relate to the song.
so that's me. whenever i tripped on a good song, i would download it and play it over and over again until i get sick of it. like what i'm doing now. i'm playing a particular song which i have been listening to for a couple of days now. i think the computer's already sick with it.
what about you?

Oh yes, I do exactly the same. In fact more that you because I even end up downloading to my phone and using it as a ringtone. I once palyed a cd until it got scratches and cannot play any more lol! And when am in love, the world would know because of the songs i play and my face tells it all. when sad also you can tell from the kind of songs i will play but sometime my face wont show.

Hey, what's the song?. Girl, you are inlove, indeed!!. im happy for you. I am too. But broken hearted as well. I plan to make a discussion about it, I want to share my happy and sad lovelife at present. Anyhow, we are the same. We have freedom to that, it made us happy, why not do it, and besides playing a song in the office relieve stress and make us inspired, diba???. Actually as I am replying to your discussion I am playing Say it again song, I don't know if you know it, but it is a new song now. But since the start of September I keep on playing If I'm not inlove with you by Kathy Tracolli. It really defines what I am feeling right now. When I am hearing that song, it makes me cry and happy. It made me look like a weirdo, but I really really like the song. The lyrics are so right in regards with my story (swak na swak ika nga). I am still not sick to that song. My officemate do like it also, they said they can relate to it so it is never a problem.

I may play it more often then other songs but not exclusively, I used to do that when I was a kid, you had a 45 on the spindle and then lifted the arm away and the song would play forever. Not good for vinyl or the needle.

I had a room mate like that... whenever she is feeling sad... she would play the same song over and over again... one time it was Mariah Carey's "I will make it through the Rain"... i got so fed up with it that i ended up not sleeping inside our room... or i turned on my TV too loud just so she will get the message to turn off the music...

i've been known to do the same thing many times. i don't think it's a good idea for me beacause when i do this i'm usually down & i think it makes you feel worse in the long one.

I have done that but I will not subject others to it. I will do it when I am alone or use headphones. Some pieces of music just move me so much I want to hear it again and again.
Also, I am a dance teacher and choreographer, and so I will play a song that inspires me to choreograph, so listening to it, many times, will help me form a picture in my mind of what I want the dance to look like.

My husband dose this same thing, I can and will replay the same song maybe twice, or three times. But that's it. My husband wil play a song for like a week untill he's completely sick of of it. It's a good thing we don't spen too much time around each other listening to music. "I'de go insane"

Oh yes! This evening, I played one song about 8 times- then another 7 times. Mainly, I play them over and over so I can get the lyrics down, but sometimes the song is just so darn addicting that you can't help but listen to it over and over. I know that it annoys my friends, but frankly, we listen to all different types of music, and they do the same thing.

I usually play albums over and over again, in particular the Best of Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music I think my computer is sick of it and trys to regurgitate the cd! But now that I download the music onto Itunes it can't so I've tricked it and now it has no choice. Sometimes when I am down I will play the same song, like Madonna's Frozen, powerful lyrics which could have been written for Wolfie, Moby's Porcelain is another song that I can play over and over and over again! So I am with you on this one, I pay a lot of attention to the lyrics and read between the lines, they can be so powerful and profound.

i agree! some lyrics of some songs really do suits someone's life. i often read between the lines too. and if i found some lyrics that perfectly suits me, i would copy it and maybe make it as my shoutout in friendster, or memorize those lines and sing it over and over again. ^__^;; oooh. i also like Madonna's Frozen! it is such a nice song. i wonder if it tells about Wolfie's life...

I will listen to songs that I really like for a few times in a row. Then I will play it alot for the next days - but not exclusivly. I do not want to get sick of a good song, so I try to save it a bit. I would rather make it, if possible - not all songs can reach this stage, part of my all time favorite topp 2000 songs tha I never tire of

I can listen to a song over and over if I really like it. I would say the one I listened to the most was the very first song my daughter sang and it was recorded onto a cassette tape. She did several more after that and I need to see about getting them put onto CD now. Her songs though I never get tired of hearing her sing.

we tend to get sick of something we encounter every now and then.
