What can you say about the government service in the Philippines? Notice this, if go to government office and do business with, the information officer or the frontliners as we call them, act differently if compared to the frontliners of private companies . Which one is better, what do you think?

Definitely in the private company that services are made better than government offices. In Government offices most employees are not trained on how to deal with customers plus the fact that they don't have budget for trainings on customers service. Corruption are rampant in Government offices as most officials that are seated there are either by political or padrino system.

Private customer service is always better than government service... but i have notice that there is an improvement in some government offices... like when i was taking care of my name correction at NSO... the people there were very pleasant... and there was no need for me to pay for anything... i just asked them nicely to expedite my papers... and they did... with a smile...

there are only few public servants here in the Philippines, there are so many corrupt officials, from the local to the national offices and departments, and graft and corruption is very rampant like a cancer that is slowly and painfully killing the nation. I think private companies are better because they are protecting their finances because they know if miscalculations happen, they will go bankrupt, unlike in the public offices, they are not worried about losing a lot of money because they know they can get it easily from the masses..It is so painful to think that there are hardworkers here, earning not enough for their families and their taxes are being used for personal purposes.

you are quite right about it..
unless you know someone in that government office,
you will not be entertained that much..
but not all are like that, some are still
doing their jobs effectively,
and some are polite to the civilians who seeks
help from this offices..
take the DSWD for example..
yes,sometime you might be asked
to wait in line if there are a lot of
people in their office..
but they are accomodating to their
visitors..
when i was still in college,
we needed drawings from the city hall..
the engineering department were also accomodating..
i guess it really depends on the government official
we encounteres..
some has attitudes, but some are also nice..
