I always visit my friend's account if ever they've got new applications installed or if they have new shout outs. and it's funny to read some of their shout outs especially if you knew that it's pertaining to someone. some were dedications for their partners. some were expressing anger for their enemies. and lots more!^^.. and sometimes I will leave a comments on their page asking about it. my shout out pertains to someone. LOL. (bitter?).. and lots of people were asking about it. just don't want to mention who it was. I think that person knows that it was for her. anyway, I know that most Filipino's have their accounts in that site.(friendster) and can relate to this topic. does your shout out pertains to someone? is she/he in your friends list? share yours! thanks in advance!^^

this discussion made me smile because i can relate. i have signed up for friendster since 2003 and ever when shout outs became a feature 2 years ago, i have always been writing stuff on it. i would always pick quotes that depict my mood and it's not pertaining to someone else not until i broke up with my ex boyfriend. after the break up i deleted our pictures in my account and deleted him in my friends list. after that i made my account private. since i am using the feature "who's viewed me", everyday i would see him viewing my profile. he was like stalking me & it creeped me out. soon i found myself checking quotes that still applied to him. it still didn't stop him from viewing me. i got pissed off, i guessed his password & walla! account is deleted!!! that was evil of me i know but i can't stand the fact that somehow you know a person who stalks you. and i mean what do you get viewing a private profile? after sometime i was relieved but not until he created another account. i changed my names a thousand times but with the power of networking he manages to find my profile. from there is a constant changing of pictures with tags & shoutouts to piss him off but that didn't stop him from viewing me still. we we're like fighting through the shout outs. it was lame and sounded bitter on each side. i got tired & went back on posting quotes on my shout outs & was no longer pertaining to him.

i actually couldn't stop it at first coz i was having fun. i never thought he would respond to the shout out. it was funny coz i did not name names nor outrightly pertain the shout out to him. i guess we would really know when a person is guilty, he's the 1st one to act defensively. haha.. i needed to put an end to it not because o felt bitter or anything but because i got my revenge & i'm happy. :)

I have a friendster account but I hardly go in there. Unless someone sends me a message, I am mostly in mylot and another group called Gather.

Nyahaha! I'm fond of doing this! Hehe. But right now it's more of something in general. Recently it's where I shout off all my frustrations (it's called shoutout afterall, LOL.) If my shoutout does pertain to someone, she/he is definitely on my friends list. Btw, I think we aren't friends on friendster, care to add me up? Thanks!

I think if I remember it right(oh well it has been long since I last checked)I think I posted a link for mylot. he he. well I don't do shout outs and if I do it is usually no sense, I can't post something that would pertain to someone I don't like, I had some relatives before who thought that some bulletin post I made were for them, which is actually not true, so I was traumatized by the paranoia it gives.

mine is definitely about that special someone, and the whole idea of how much he changed my life. it says: "he kissed me, and now i'm someone else.." so true..Ü

Hi zer0charly, my shout out is just a word Abandoned I guess I was talking more of myself rather than the people who abandoned me. Though deep inside me I was wishing that those people who left me alone and lonely would soon realize what they did to me. Hmmm... So I guess it pertains to other people too

hello zerocharly :-) i have a friendster account too and visit it from time to time, but i haven't posted any shoutout eversince friendster had that feature available for the users. but i enjoy reading shoutouts of my friends. i got amused when i see shoutout that pertains to someone, when the shoutout is bitter it intrigues me. my favorite shoutouts are those inspirational quotes or messages as it reflects the postive attitude of the person who posted it and also it somehow brightens the day of its readers.

Yeah.. same here. I sometimes learn from those quotations. and I guess, shout out is their way to express themselves to someone.

I sometimes get paranoid or asking someone with regards to their quotations. because they wouldn't choose it if it wouldn't mean something. anyway, I sometimes post quotations too.. but of course, it always has a meaning.

I do have an account there but I seldom open it. When I was still active at friendster, my shoutout was my favorite quote. But right now, the one that's in there was the link to my blog. LOL, promotional tactic. HUGZ!

I have two accounts in friendster. I can relate, before. I always post shout-out that pertains to my bestfriend who I fell in love with before but broke my heart by doing something that I don't want to share. Heehee. And then after that I post shout-outs that pertains to my girlfriend. Now I just post weird, out-of-this-world quotes that I think are cool, or as Manix Abrera put it..."pa-deep kuno". Heehee. It's fun posting a shout-out pertaining to someone, and then seeing his/her account replying to your shout-out. Heehee. Have a nice day. Oh, I should update my friendster now...I haven't touched it ever since I've discovered making money online. Heehee.
