Do you still watch movies in cinemas?

Have you seen the rate of cinemas in NCR lately? The last movie that me and my girlfriend watched is "A Very Special Love". Now don't give any reaction to that, I know I know...kind of baduy...heehee. Anyways, the price of that is about...I think a hundred to two hundred, one screening. And that was SM. In provincial malls the rate is still 130 per movie the last time I checked on it. But on NCR, man look at that rate...Foreign movies even reached 700!!! Man... Given that, and that most movies are "pirated" just as quick as they are released in cinemas, do you still want to watch movies in cinemas? Do you still prefer including movie watching in dates? For me...hmm...when I get a job, yes I will still consider, but only those movies that we really look forward to watch. For others, my brothers are always buying the latest movies in pirated copies so no worries, heehee. That doesn't include Filipino movies though, let's support the Philippine movie industry. Thanks for sharing to those who will respond. Have a nice day.

Nah, I know my dad and mom. They are not really into those stuffs. Plus they both work so no time for those stuffs there. Plus they're old. Haha! Good thing you buy for the kids. I was requesting some good animes and other animated movie(childish 20 yr old here) from my dad the last time(ones which I can't find a source to download on the net) and he didn't buy me any! Just hopia and softdrinks. At least he fed me. Haha.

Hey yes my guy is coming back to my place to stay with us in his holidays , so we have planned to goto cinema , we feel its a good place to meet and be in , as we can speak to eachother and we feel holding hands together and watching cinema is really good for lovers to do , that is why we are moving to cinema , not actually to watch the movie , i can watch all the movies online itself , im holding myself not watch as my guy has booked the seats, it would be second time watching it .In my place eventhough we see movies online, all love to goto theatres with their spouse or family or guy .So all the time it is rushed , our cinema industry has no need to boosted :)

Hi ishralene09! I have already stopped watching movies at cinema when I have married my wife and became a father. But before that, we usually watch movies every week in our favorite cinema. Also the high increased in the price of the ticket cinema had literally moved me away from movie cinema and make me look for other essential things to buy instead of watching movies. The propagation and availability of new pirated movies in almost every place had made me choose to watch movies in the comfort of our home.

Hi, I watch movies online or I buy dvds nowadays. But I still watch movies in the cinemas especially when I'm with my friends. it's just a much better experience to go out to the movies with friends and then have dinner after the movie. :) I actually thought that the price of a movie ticket would go down given that there are many movies available online already, but the price is still quite high. I think it even increased from 2 years ago...

Yes, sadly it increased rather than decrease in price. And yeah, it's a good thing to go out with friends too. I think our next movie destination would be the next installment of Harry Potter. Thanks for sharing, have a nice day.

I sometimes still watch movies in cinemas. If it's a good movie or highly anticipated movie. The last movie i watched in a cinema is Kungfu Panda. I treated my 3-year old nephew. It's his first time to enter a cinema so it's kind of a special occassion. But since then, i just watch movies at home. At least i wouldnt have to pay for anything anymore.

If it's new and not worth a lot of my money, I tend to watch at home as well. The good thing about it is that we can view some of the new movies earlier than those waiting for it's big screen release. Hehe. Thanks for sharing have a nice day.

I do. I still watch movies in cinema. My wife likes watching movies in cinema as the screen is bigger and she can concentrate well with the movie's plot and story. Being in the cinema is also a very relaxing activity. I sometimes can sleep there calmly.

I'm not really fond of watching movies so I don't watch in cinemas anymore. I watch movies in cable TV or over the Internet for free, so why pay those exorbitant prices over at the cinemas?

Yeah, but I hate streaming. Downloading is my style...Heehee. For special movies I'll still opt to watch in cinemas, but that comes around like once or twice in a year. Cable TV is the best. I'm able to watch movies that I've never heard of. Thanks for the response. Have a nice day.

Hello, Honestly, I haven't been to the cinema in a long time, not because I don't like going, I love attending the cinema, but the fact is that it's expensive and I know if I wait 3 months I can rent or buy this movie. But another factor is that my autistic son does not know how to behave in movie theaters and me and my husband don't like to spend a lot of money on a movie when we will probably have to leave within 20 minutes into the show because my son starts crying because he wants to go. But once In awhile me and my husband will get a babysitter and attend the cinema in the afternoon,in the afternoon the price of movie tickets are cheaper.

I used to watched movies in cinemas before, but when the vcd came into the market I then preffered to watch at home. Now we watched movies with our dvd player just one dvd disc now can contain a minimum twenty movies each. My whole family watch together with lots of snack infront of us. I think it's more practical to watch movies at home now..

It's probably the best thing, watching movie at home with your family, enjoying some snacks and stuff. Heehee. It's actually not that practical to bring the whole family in the cinemas as most of them prefer a different movie than the other. So far I only watch in the cinema when I'm with my mom at the mall and she doesn't want distractions in the bingo place and sends me off with some money to watch movies, or when my girlfriend and I agreed to watch a certain movie that we want to...Or when my father gets generous enough to treat us all, otherwise we will just stay at the house watching my brother's collection of DVDs or me watching my newly downloaded movie on the PC. Have a nice day man!

I like to go to the Cinema just for the feel of it you know, like its all quiet, warm, dark, popcorn+ drinks. I would buy it yeah. But it takes so much of the feel out of the movie. I also watch movies on Cable and stuff but again, Its not the same.

Oh yeah, there is some feeling that only the cinema experience can bring, unless of course you're a millionaire and have a mini-theater type of room in the house. Heehee. Have a nice day man, thanks for sharing.
