Guys I kind of need your help and I've put this here because I want responders to be Filipinos.
Ok, so this is my problem. I have hernia(luslos). It is a mesenteric fat herniation, and it is inguinal. I failed my PEME and therefore didn't get the job I'm applying for because of that. Now my target date for operation is December, since my parents wants me to be fit first, loose like 20kg of weight and this belly of mine in order for my recovery to be not that hard, as having this belly will...yeah, be hard for me.
So I want to ask, who have, or knows a relative that have undergone the same surgery here? I want to know the following, and I can't leave the house right now because I'm in charge of almost everything except household chores. Ok I want to know how much it will take, how long is the average recovery time, and the hospital where the operation was executed. Thanks very much for those who can contribute. Thanks and God bless.

My younger brother also has hernia. He was operated a few years back and he said it took at least two weeks to completely heal. In that two weeks, you need to really rest and eat good food. The operation was in a local hospital in our province (Negros Occidental). Right now, he's very ok. ;D

Two weeks and good food. I think that is manageable. Thanks for this and have a very good night ahead.

I'm not sure how long it will heal,as everyone is different but it's very important you listen to your body and relax. My Dad wouldn't relax and he kept having to have his surgery again. I didn't know it would take 2 weeks or more to heal since my Dad was up and moving around in 2-3 days! He also had infections though, so I recommended letting yourself heal for at least two weeks to be safe!

Sorry I can't help you. I don't know any person who was with the same situations as yours. I hope our other co-mylotters will help you..
Just take care to prevent you from further pain and problems regarding your hernia..
Goodluck to your future operation.
Godbless..

Oh thank you. I'm hoping that as well. So far I feel no pain for the past, I don't know, since it appeared?(And I can't remember when, around high school I guess but I thought I just really have huge balls back then, heehee) that is why I'm wondering why the medical facility deemed me "unfit temporarily" when I know how my own body feels. Now I'm going to have a hard time helping my parents with the fundings. If they accepted me for the job I would have had money to use. I really am confused with these PEMEs. Thanks for your message of comfort. Have a nice day.

My boyfriend once told me that he has an office mate who undergo in an operation. And it took him more than a month to recover and he said he can't do heavy work because of the operation. And it cost him about 50-60 thousand for the operation, the medicard didn't covered the hospital bills nor the doctors fee. Do you have medical cards? If you don't you should go to government affiliated hospitals such as PGH, Jose Reyes and etc.

Wow, that's big. Thanks for the information.I have a philhealth, but I think I only have two months of contribution so that's highly unlikely to work. Good thing my father has one, and I'm a beneficiary so I think we can use that. I was kind of waiting for another one of those "Libreng opera sa luslos" drive or something like that, but I don't see it coming soon again. Thank you so much for this information as it helped me figure out a bit about the money issue...Man where can I get that 50Gs...Thanks so much and have a nice day!
