Answering "No Responses"

I sometimes click on the "no responses" and check if there are some discussions that catch my attention. If there is, I would open it and type away my response. And there are times, when the author is asking for some sort of help and I wanted to be the first one to post a response but when I finish and click submit, I see lots of responses already. Did it ever occur to you to think and type fast to be the first response? And did you ever wonder that when you were typing, somebody else is too? Just a thought.
